Don't completely Nerf the Deathclaws in the next patch

Post » Sun Feb 14, 2016 1:42 am

In defense of the new patch I am easily able to fend off the Deathclaw attacks now (they are more of a threat than raiders but they kill no one and don't make it past my second vault level) ... if you do change them in the next patch just find a different scaling factor (I could probably handle about twice as many without them becoming devastating) or make them optional with an on/off switch for the more casual players ... there is still not much for a vault to do once you start maxing out and nothing that provides a substantial end game threat or challenge (other than just trying to grind out Legendary weapons and outfits from Wasteland exploration ... with the latest memory fixes I have increased explorers to 55)

Hey Kbrickley, I unfortunately have fallen. My vault is now DEAD due to the latest bug crash at loading screen. I cannot load my hard earned vault. Truly frustrated and hope Bethesda steps up and refunds/fixes crash bug. My vault I fear is lost forever. I had fun posting with you and hope and pray you avoid this unfortunate end that I have fell victim to.

Sorry to hear that ... hopefully mine will stay stable on my iPad Air ... otherwise, it is just 2 and one half months until FO4, when the real fun begins :D

Until we go through same thing? Ok lets be the optimists here! Yes I agree.

Except only the most optimistic person doesn't expect bugs on the big Elder Scrolls or Fallout releases ... as long as they aren't game breaking it is kind of par for the course ... with large complex open world games and all the variety of PC configurations it is hard to work perfectly for everyone ... but the games are usually good enough that we can withstand the bugs in order to play the games ... of course other folk's mileage may vary ... I did throw another paragraph in the story thread you started earlier as well ... have a good weekend and good luck on recovering your vault :fallout:

I second this. The deathclaw should be real challenge at later stage of vault ( population > 100 ). But may be nerfed for less developed vault.

Various bugs in a game are inevitable. But serious game breaking bug that player can't play -- crash, refuse to load, save file corruption, lost Lunchbox etc, -- should be squashed as soon as possible.

Current version of FOS still has such serious game breaking bugs. Need more patch on those.

Bethesda I love almost all of your games, and respect the ones I don't love. Your developers have managed to blow other games out of the water with each new release. This is evident in the sole fact your FOS app hit the top of the iTunes Store as soon as it was released. We are all on our seats edges with high hopes and expectations. I want to apologize for everyone that is giving you serious grief over the new app. I understand that this is your first app and this means a new kind of platform to learn how to work with. I hope to see you fix the bugs in this game over time, but I implore those that are experiencing the issues to report them and wait for them to be fixed, don't give up on FOS just yet, Bethesda has too good of a reputation to let me think they will let the bugs remain.
