Don't download DX11 just yet....

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 10:41 pm

I was running this fine yesterday. Today it crashed my system.

Issues:

1. With setting at max received "input not supported" error on Monitor
2. When I turned off DX11 I was forced to restart program and this somehow invalidated my serial key

If you haven't installed DX11 patch I say wait until they fix the bugs.

I say you should figure out which part of your hardware is crashing and use your warranty on it.

I deduced it was the patch. For a month I have been able to run game on max settings. I downloaded DX11 patch and other hi-res patch and after 1 day I start getting issues.

Well the DX11 effects are very expensive, DX9 Extreme may not tax your system that much, but DX11 Ultra with high res textures could easily cause some unstable component to fail.
