Given the unplayable state of 1.2, I don't think I will be voting for it. As released, it was my GOTY, but I have to say that right now, I am not even comfortable playing it, until the recent damage is remedied. Portal 2, Arkham City, Skyward Sword, hell even Space Marine- all are providing more fun right now than this mess

It has been a very good year for games, there's no need to give a free pass to something that has been broken in such a shoddy manner.

Batman: AC is my GOTY by a mile. And at least Skyward Sword is polished, Skyrim comes close to being amazing but the combat is an unbalanced mess like every ES game.

Batman: AC is a great candidate for GOTY, especially on PC; it looks amazing and pretty much improves on everything in the previous title.

Witcher 2 and Portal 2 are two other outstanding candidates.

My game of the year is a tough choice between batman and skyrim, but I think Skyrim is overall my favourite.

I can only vote for the PC version, but Skyrim is a console game, you can see that on interface, graphics, controls... So definitely not my game of the year!

I am enjoying Skyrim quite a bit, but not sure its worthy of GOTY yet. Graphically its beautiful after I had to make a bunch of tweaks on my own. I had to spend the first couple days tweaking the settings, figuring out how to turn off the darn compass, then there were the sudden CTDs every couple hours until I started using a large address mod, which solved it.

To me a GOTY should be a bit more polished than what was released. Skyrim is turning out to be a great game, but only after a lot of the fixes were applied by others.

Which is exactly why i voted Skyward. I cant even play 1.2 without seeing half of mountains missing, water and ice looking like minecraft blocks and 9/10 dragons flying right by me and not attacking.
