Don't have a girlfriend? To the cloud!

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 9:56 am

Can't see anything wrong with it. I mean, if it's not a scam, and people want to do it, they're not going to trouble me any.

Whenever I hear "to the cloud" I think of the spiky haired aliens saying "MacLeod!" from Highlander 2.

Anyway, this seems like something that anyone who's desperate enough to buy into could easily do himself for free. I also find it funny that there isn't a Cloud boyfriend option. There's plenty of lonely girls out there too.

So... we should expect a drop in the number of threads posted here in CD?

:hehe:

I'm expecting threads in the region of 'my fake online girlfriend dumped me.'

There can't be an easy way to do this, I'd suspect that it would be very easy to spot whether someone has a fake girlfriend quite easily.

So what happens when people ask to meet her?

Is that when you break the news that she lives in cyber space? :(

If she's a teenager, she's almost definitely fake. Even if you're talking to her in person.

Sorry girls, I saw the opening and just had to go for it :P. Apologies for the inelegant implementation, too tired to come up with something better.

So sad. I expect some stories on the internet by people who will make use of this, and I expect some good lulz.

Who will seriously do this? I am starting to think this was intended for us lonely gamers who want to look "cool".

Girls aren't that hard to talk to...

Yes they are :cold:

The last few generations have been raised to fear every possible predator around the corner and to use third party intervention in any conflict. With the social skills they have today and native mistrust for others, talking to girls is like taboo. :ahhh:

This reminds me of an IGN article I saw a year back, maybe more. About a service where you paid girls to play games with you online. Quite funny actually, how these people who come up with this stuff think gamers are all single (by single I do mean pathetic losers incapable of socially interacting with girls and being in relationships with them).

When I first read this I thought of the AI from that one movie saying things like "Oh Dave..." in a seductive voice.

Is there something wrong with me?
