I don't know if this is the right place for this..

I'm having mod troubles. The only way I can run Fallout 3 is with all of the mods disabled. If I have any enabled then it freezes right before it gets to the new game/options/etc screen. I've tried just about everything I could think of and have absolutely no idea where I should go from here. Any help would be nice.

This is the CTD problem, right? Crash at the 'Please Stand By'? There's nothing wrong with the game, it's the mods. There is something wrong with your load order or one of your mods isn't working. When was the last time your game worked with mods? Did it start crashing when you got new mods?

It doesn't come with any mods, you have to download them from the Internet. I think that's what you're asking...?

Well from steam i bought the "game of teh year edition" and i believe it was meant to have all of the mods already downloaded, if this is not the case then can i get a link to teh downloads?

You mean the 5 Add ons? Turn them on from the Data Files section from the first menu. Before you hit play it should be like the third option.

You'll know when it works because a box pops up from the screen that renders you from moving or anything. It'll automatically start a quest, excluding Broken Steel which doesn't work until you beat the game but still gives you a raised level cap.

Your best bet is just to add the mods one at a time instead of a bunch at once. Start the game and if it works, add another one. That way you'll know exactly which one is causing the problem.

download fallout mod manager and then click the check for conflicts button and also click the sort load order button. it seems to work for me. i had a couple of mods not being friendly so i tried that all i had to do was disable the mod that had conflicts

download it here: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=640

if that doesnt help you might want to ask in tech difficulties

If it's anything like OBMM for Oblivion, that doesn't do you any good. If anything from the Fallout.esm has been changed in anyway it will show up as a conflict, making that info meaningless. I'm not sure if the parameters it uses have been improved since Oblivion, but I strongly suspect it hasn't.
