Don't run about like that... have you no sense of decency ?

Hi,

I'm back in oblivion after a few years off. :celebration:

In the Imperial City, some merchants won't accept speak to me, telling me "Don't run about like that... have you no sense of decency ?" (no voice). It happened with Othrelos and Claudette Perrick at the Gilded Carafe and at least another merchant in the market district.

I don't know if that's a bug, I'll try some charm spell next time I play. It seems also to be added by a mod since there's no voice for this (I'm using elys universal silent voice too, just put a longer mp3)

here's the list of mods I use.

This sounds like a comment from Morrowind, look at your readme for the mod that gave you the Morrowind_ob.esm.

Back in the original Morrowind, merchants wouldn't deal with you if you possessed Moon Sugar or Skooma in your inventory. Some versions of Morrowind_ob.esm are supposed to add this functionality to merchants in Vvardenfell. Either your version of the mod is a bit older and affects more merchants than intended, or the most recent version does this to all merchants, even those in Cyrodiil. Of course, this all relies on you possessing Skooma in your inventory. If you don't have Skooma with you while talking to these merchants and they still don't deal with you, then there's something wrong, and I would suggest taking a very close look at the readme as bradleyh suggested.

Yes actually it's because I was inadvertently "naked" and they didn't like that ;) Although there is a small bug because wearing a ring counts as not being naked while wearing sandals counts as being naked.

I told the modders about this but this is not really important...

thanks for the help !

edit: exactly mejoff

That's funny because back when I was poor and needed money, I'd go to my house, undress to my underwear, and then load up on all the things that I could carry and go to town and sell things (usually the Imperial City). So I was always running around town in my underwear and nobody said anything. And I sell Skooma to the merchants all the time. It's like we are all a bunch of drug dealers. :nono: :woot:
