I was level 12 or 13. I wasn't there very long and haven't been back since. I'm right about level 20 now and will be making my way back there again soon. Likely after I finish up with Karliah.

Oh, and I'll be taking some back up. Mjoll is the likely candidate if she doesn't hate me forever for being a thief.

Depends on what class you are. A mage, especially a destruction one, should be fairly high level (30 or higher, and expect to get pounded even then). A well-armored warrior can be lower (but probably at least 20).

i went there last night at lvl 8.... i didnt have too hard of a time however i did mainly stick to the coast so as to avoid most encounters lol i was only there for one spell as soon as i got it i bailed
