I grab an item, and it gives me no direction on how to steal it, or throw it, and by the time i try to move it my magika runs out? Need some help

Telekenesis is a magicka thirsty spell. Hold the spell until the item has come to you and the prompt will come up to add it to your inventory. It's best to have high magicka along with fortify magicka equipment and Alteration buffs. Also hold the spell as you're adding it or the item will fall to the floor before you grab it.

to throw it you release the trigger. to add it to your inventory you press activate.

It is also used for levitation.

Dark Messiah of Might and Magic did Telekinesis right. I don't see why in Skyrim it needs so much mana.
