Don't you hate it when...

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 11:28 am

... you're in the habit of keeping all your extra stuff in one chest in your house, then one day you're fiddling about in it and you accidentally press "take all"...

Followed by half an hour of you trying to remember what stuff you kept in there, what you no longer need, what you do need, and why you were there in the first place.

Oh my god YES. On the 360 it's X to store if you're in your inventory, and X for take all in the chest. I've done this more than a few times.

when you go to search a chest/dresser/container and end up clicking and taking a basket/iron pot or some other stupid item instead, then forget to drop the item and can't figure out why you are over encumbered

I do this so often a friend watching me play (who had not played before) thought using the chest sapped your life for some reason

YES! THIS!

I keep wanting to drag items from my inventory to the chest or whatever. I want to pick stuff up and put it on a table, but instead, I click it and it jumps into my inventory.

What I hate the most is walking a far distance and getting to your location realizing that somewhere along the way you've dropped your Archmage Robe because you must have hit the wrong button when you were picking up the boots of some dead peasant. You'd think I'd notice that I was naked running through the snow without my most valuable possession?

I miss an "are you sure" button for equipped/important/valuable items that you would never just accidentally drop.

Is there a mod for drag and drop inventory? O at least one that organizes the chests so it's not a giant list?

think that just happens when you enter sneak mode near some NPC's who can see you

ow and definitely, only happened once though
quick to learn when it's this annoying to fix XD
I often forget what I was doing just by browsing the long ass list

ow and I wish there was a store all button as well
mainly for my ingredients, I hate having to press X like 80 times just to dump my alchemy ingedients into the satchel
not like I have any use carrying them around now that alchemy requires a table

I sort my stuff now at the house. All Smithing stuff in one chess (ores, ingots, leather, etc.), all jewelry stuff in another (gems, gold and silver), and soul gems in the last. Current character isn't a alchemist or I'd have a place for those items also. When I leave the house the only Misc items I have on me are lockpicks, firesalts (for a quest) and ice wraith teeth (for a quest).

You know, the game saves when you walk in the door to your house so you could just reload instead of sorting through it all. But yea, been there.
