That's it, I'm finished with Fallout 3 GOTY!
No, I didn't complete the game, it got so damn cold (freezing), I yanked the disk out of the PS3 and zinged it across the yard.
I think the dog has had more enjoyment out of it than my son or I have.

Last night was the straw that broke this camel's back. The freezing got so bad, I just couldn't tolerate it any more.
It took the game just under 10 minutes to load to my last saved location, once there, it thawed for all of 3 seconds, froze for another 5 minutes, thawed long enough for me to pan and select a target, froze for 7 minutes, thawed for 5 seconds (enough to change the repeating bit of sound that was looping and getting increasingly annoying), well, you can see where this went.

I actually let the game stay on while I did other things while it was frozen and each time it thawed just enough to accept whatever was the last command button I pushed and then froze up again. In the 60-90 minutes I allowed this to take place, the game was thawed no more than a total of about 5 minutes!

Bethesda, thank you so much for a lesson well learned. I will never, ever purchase a game made by you again!
Niether will my son, nor my brother or anyone else I know of that games. I will be sure they are aware of the CRAP you produce.

I should probably add that, yes, I've researched the net for the possible causes and fixes for this freezing BS and did pretty much each of them, I have to admit, only one actually seemed to clear up the issue...for all of 30 minutes of play. I saved the game to New Data as opposed to over-writing again and again, sold off all my extra goods (weapons and ammo, etc.) that I did not foresee needing, travelled as light as I could and didn't "drop" any items.

Again, that worked for all of 30 minutes. The moment I got into a fire fight with more than one enemy, all that went out the window almost as fast as the game disk did last night.
