Dont have heavy armor perks but want to temper.

Post » Sun Dec 06, 2015 9:10 am

Im using exclusively light armor tree for myself but want to temper and sell all the items that I acquire.

Part of my immersion is a second job as a blacksmith because of all the stuff that I pickup along with me mining most of my materials should turn a profit.

Im only getting the Dwarven perk because of the huge amount of free materials and I was thinking that wearing fortify heavy armor/smithing gear along with fortify smithing potions might get me close to twice as good, does this sound feasable?

Thanks

Fortify Heavy Armor has no effect on smithing improvements. There is a set skill level for improving gear. This level requirement is lower with the associated perk and higher without the perk(s).

I understand, my friend.

The Heavy Armor skill and/or the Fortify Heavy Armor effect from potions and/or gear does not effect the improvement of weapons or armor at any of the Blacksmith crafting stations.

Only the Smithing skill, it's perks and the Fortify Smithing effect govern crafting and improving weapons and armor.
