...I dont have that kind of money...

Post » Sun Oct 02, 2011 6:14 am

I wanted to buy the collectors edition, right? But then I saw its $150. I..dont even know what to say about that.Id gladly just pay $70 for the game and the map...

...But is $150 only worth toys? I think to justify that price, Bethesda should guarantee that anyone who bought the collectors edition will get the DLC content free. (NOT expansions. I have no problem paying for real expansions and would be glad to infact.) But the DLC should be free at that price. or SOMETHING.

Bethesda: I cannot afford that. I want to. Cuase I Like your company. But I cant afford that. :( Im getting skyrim, have no doubt..but not the collectors edition.

And that makes me really sad. :(

There have been numerous threads on this subject. I haven't bothered to read all of them, but I've read a few. It's really just something that we have to deal with. Beth made the game, so they set the prices. After all, this is their livelihood.

I'm shelling out for it, but I admit it is a bit ridiculous. You could try borrowing from your parent/friends if you really wanted it and pay them back paycheck by paycheck. Or call in a favour?

Even the Gears Collectors Edition was like £70 quid in the UK, for the last game of the series and a being a nifty CE itself, it wasn't a bad price. To be fair the price tag of the CE of Skyrim is ridiculous. To make a comparison, the CE of the latest COD (Yes, Call of Duty!) games might be hefty in price but at least they offer something worthwhile to match it.

I've purchased the CE, but only because I got lucky with some spare cash.

I drove my friend out of town so he could pre-order the collector's edition, I had to come with cause he's only 17, but he's going to let me borrow the making of dvd's and I can see the Alduin statue whenever I want. A fair trade.

It's the damn statue :\

But this is the first game i'm going all out on. Pre-ordered CE + the CE strategy guide.

Only other CE i've ever bought was Oblivion and that was nearly the same price.

I'd only do that if Bethesda was in financial trouble but if the CE was that much. No sale.
