DOOM Beta

I think it would have made more sense to provide the doom beta with a pre order copy of prey 2. Doom beta is being offered to those who pre order wolfenstein http://www.wolfenstein.com/en-us/preorder. Wolfenstein looks pretty good, but I would think that prey 2 fans would have been a better target. What does everyone else think.

I see what you did there, connecting this to Prey2 ;)

I think Wolf is a better target audience for Doom than Prey2, since Wolf and Doom have always gone hand in hand, but sure, I supposed they could have gone with Prey2 pre-order if the game were not in hell

I see what you did there, connecting Prey 2 with Hell.

Seems a Doom Beta would have been a good fit for Prey 2 after all.

Fact is a Dishonored Beta should have come with Prey 2 we should all be on our 100th hr of game play right now.

I'm actually weighing in to say that I don't trust Bethesda to follow through with a beta for Doom. I read the New Order web page and they leave themselves unaccountable if it never shows up. This company does nothing but stiff its fan base. I find it offensive that they will pull the heart strings of the Doom fans in order to help sell a lesser game. I for one have been waiting a really really long time for Doom 4. I think an open ended invite to a beta for a game everyone has been waiting for from ID studios attached to a game that should have been made by ID studios is just down right wrong.

I personally feel Betas should not be part of any preorder. Betas should only be used for testing the game and not used as a marketing tool.

Yep! It goes against id's shareware heritage.

Before Human Head was screwed over by Bethesda, Prey 2 was an open-world shooter without a multiplayer component. That wouldn't be the best fit for a beta or a demo. The first Prey had a very generous demo so Human Head were surely open to it.
