Yeah I was surprised that the number was so low myself, but as others have said the single player and global release have yet to happen are likely causes. That and this game didn't advertise nearly as much as a COD. We were seeing national tv ads for COD games nearly a year before launch, marketing budgets can have a huge impact on day one sales.
I compare game marketing to a game of poker where you take a gamble and show your hand premature......EA and Crytek should have took that gamble (it might have paid off and then they'd anticipate a good online community coming in)
I dont know about a good community comming in, spend an hour around COD's forums, they have probably the biggest marketing budget in the biz and their community is horrible, its like jr highschool over there with the constant flaming and complaining about the game
I think we were speaking strictly in the context of community numbers not quality of membership LOL. XBOX Live in general has an overwhelming number of jerks in the general population period.
