Dose Cass die ?

For the end slide it syas
Cass lives to see Hoover Dam in all its Old World glory, humming with power the likes of which the Mojave had never seen. Vegas burns brighter than ever, Securitrons fill the streets, and Cass's heart skips... just a little. Her last words are to the Dam - and to herself. "We were going full speed ahead... but facing backwards the whole time."

Now the last words part makes me think she kills herslef, she dosent like the securitrons and im guessing to her it was a bad sign and she killed herself. Anyone else see it this way ?

i thought that as well, but im not sure if thats what was actually meant.

But she doesn't kill herself when the Legion takes over, why would she when the legion comes through.

True, but it seems odd to say "her last words to the dam and herslef".

Here's a thought, only based on your quote ... the quote doesn't say when those last words of hers were said...could be 6 months, could be 30 years. I'd guess it's one of those open-ended, whatever you want to believe endings. :whistling:

....but I haven't actually seen her ending slide/carried her to the end of the game, so I probably know nothing. heh

I think you are right about the death happening in later life.

"Cass lives to see.."

The only question is the amount of time, if it was near the end of her natural lifespan the sight could have made her heart skip a bit too much resulting in a natural death.

However her last words are quite saddening and the fact she is saying the words to the dam implies she might be there to jump after seeing how the Mojave is heading backwards.

C'mon people, it's obvious it's her 'last words' to the Dam, before she turns around and walks away, never visiting the place again. :whistling:

True it may not be suicide she may just day later after seeing vegas :( I guess I will keep her at the outpost then, away from the dam, see what ending that produces.

Cass does have a heart condition. May have something to do with it.

To clarify: This isn't a reference to her killing herself. The last words are referring to how she perceives New Vegas itself - she thinks House is holding too tightly to the Old World, so a "victory" at Hoover Dam to her is actually a step back into history and the old ways ("facing backwards the whole time"), not really moving into a new future. No confusion intended.

Wow did not expect a dev to reply. But thanks for clearing that up :)
Also did you write the dead money dlc ? (I think it was your name I heared who was a writer) if so you did an amazing job on Dog/God cant go into detail but I felt terrible at the end of the dlc (in a good way).

Thanks, writing Dog/God was a lot of fun, took me back to memories of playing Fallout 1. :)

Stupid characters (less than 4 IN) get some additional topics with Dog in his global conversation when they ask him about his past, a tip of the hat to Fallout 1.

You know, I like the return of stoopid dialogues options, but sometimes I feel like you guys didn't had enough time and were forced to include the "half-assed" version (Helios ONE, I can talk dumbo, and then suddenly like a normal person again). :(

Speaking of helios I am suprised it wasnt mentioned in the ending, especially if you activate archamedies. I know its mentioned if you spare the BoS, but nothing about achamedies.
I dont play a low int character (I like lots of skill points) so dont get stupid dialouge.

I dont know if you cxan answer this Chris (question about end dlc, may aswell ask since you wrote it and are here) Dead money spoilers
Spoiler
I know choices effect how the characters turn out e.g putting christine in the lift makes her hate you. But did I make Dog the dominant side by putting God away after unlocking him ? I think thats how it resulted in my ending either being dog eating people or having to kill him, I think if I made God dominant I could have got the good endding where he tells people how he was helped and controls dog. I felt bad because of how dog/god was the victim and I pushed him by making dog dominant, pushed him to far and then had to put him down, for something that could have been prevented. The best part was I felt bad, but wasnt aware of my actions at the time, not knowing just how much damage I was doing (assuming putting gods away results in dog being the more dominant one). Was suprised how much impact it had, didnt think it mattered at the time.
