Either is a bug in the GECK (Quite likely) or the GECK is crashing from insufficient resources. How much ram you have?

No because bugs are in the coding, and taping into that is not wise or allowed.

How exactly are you using the Object Palette? Does it crash right when you start it? Or when you load a pallete? Or perhaps when you place objects?

If its crashing when you load it, re-install the GECK and re-install the object palettes from Nexus, which you can get http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1807

Also check the http://geck.gamesas.com/index.php/gamesas_Tutorial_Clutter on Object Palettes and get the default Bethesda-provided ones from there.

Make sure you have some palettes installed in the Fallout3/OPAL directory.

Then it is highly likely you are doing something wrong to it.

Have you tried other palettes or just the one?

I would study the WIKI and the Object Palette video tutorial in the pinned thread atop the forum, its how I learned how to use it.

One thing about the GECK is that in some regards, it does not take care of you if it finds something that it is not prepared to handle. It doesn't always pop up an error window to tell you what's wrong (although sometimes it does). Sometimes it just blows sky high.

I'd check those tutorials and be sure you're doing stuff in the way it expects.

That's all I can suggest :/

Sorry to awake this old thread again, but how did you get it working?
I have the same problem.
Thanks
