Dovahkiin role play (the main character in the trailer)

Post » Tue Jul 22, 2014 5:07 pm

I was thinking of starting a play through of skyrim again using a character based off the dragonborn in the gameplay trailer, I'm going to choose the first preset nord and I can only use the exact armour and weapons that the guy uses in the trailer, what do you guys think?

Isn't that the first thing 90% of players do when they first play Skyrim? :P

I think the guy in the trailor looks like a wimp. Anyone wearing just iron armor should definitely die.

Of course he wears studded armor even WORSE! And it's a combo of light and heavy armor? What the cràp? I just want Alduin to eat that guy every time I see him because he's the perfect example of what character you shouldn't build to become awesome.

Yeah I agree the armour is weak as [censored] but that's the challenge of it, try and upgrade it as much as possible to increase your chance of survival. I just like the look of it during the third person animation kills lol

I've done it; it's fun, although I spent most of my time searching for the perfect 'mountain-ledge-looking-over-the-valley-and-river' setting (and never did find it; any suggestions..?)

The closest ive gone to playing Bethesda's front man is walking around DC in that snazzy Armoured Vault Jumpsuit. A large part of a character to me is his gear and sense of style, which often has a lot of realism with the gear choices thrown in. I think that playing as the front man is a bit too generic for my tastes, especially since I dont think his gear is particulary neat looking, but i'd say go for it if you want to. If you're on PC you could try finding a mod to swtich the gear over to all one armour type, and maybe up the stats on it, or have it be craftable in variants that have the same stats of the normal armour sets, effectively replacing them.

I guess put me in the 10% that didn't. My first character was a female, dunmer with red eyes named demona. wore falmer armor and forsworn head piece... scary. :P

But on topic. I know this has been done before. While your not being unique by doing so, it could very well be a fun build.
