which weapon is your preference?or will try to find first?

Well, seeing as you'll probably start off with a basic spell, that'll probably be my first weapon, before I find a sword or axe lying around somewhere.

My warrior character will try to get hold of a sword, any kind of sword.

My mage won't care, of course ... and my thief will do without, though she'll be grateful if she can get her bow back from the Imperials.

I always gather a lot of different weapons, so I'm prepared for any situation; this generally means a lower skill-level overall, but a greater versatility. I tend to prefer magic (fire magic to be exact), though I carry a bow in case I run out of magicka, or for when I am confronted by an opponent immune to magic... Furthermore I carry a dagger or short sword, for when I'm forced to get up close and personal with my enemy (like when I'm cornered and out of magicka), I choose the dagger or short sword, because my favourite character's focus on intelligence rather than strength, and as such, a light weapon is to be preferred. I might also carry a staff or wand or whatever, to inflict magical damage without draining magicka... But it all depends on circumstance and luck.
