Will Mr. Prisoner dude be my main character? I might make him in a different playthrough. But I'm sticking with my chosen race that i've stuck with since Morrowind, the dastardly bastardy Dark Elves.

Obviously every race will have a default look, and I imagine that Prisoner Bendu "Dovahkiin" Olo (the Thunder From Down Under) is just the default male Nord. Dovahkiin is not a name, by the way, it's a messianic title.

And the vast majority of folks responding to this will say no. I've never played as a Nord and have no inclination to do so this time.

Wait...isn't Bendu Olo a Dark Elf treasure hunter?

I remember reading a book that he either wrote or was mentioned in.

I feel about him the same way I feel about default Shepard with his massive jaw and narrow set eyes...

No, I don't imprint the face of the character we've seen in screenshots and videos on the Dovahkiin, that ia just one character created by Bethesda for the purpose of demonstrating the game and testing, my Dovahkiin willl be who I want it to be. Just being someone else's character is boring when I can instead create my own, why would I want to do that?

No, I rarely use the default option if I'm allowed to customize. The only time I've ever used a default character was in Dragon Age II when I played as a sarcastic female. I can't stand the male voice actor in DAII, and even though I tried for about an hour I couldn't make my female Hawke look as cool as the default one. Mainly because you can't use that hairstyle if you customize! :flame:

As for all the people using default Shepards, I did not have any problem making my Shepard look awesome. Though, I'll agree the character generator was a bit lax.
