Downloadable Morrowind with CE of Skyrim

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 2:32 am

I think it would be great if Bethesda included a token for us to download Morrowind with some special edition of Skyrim. (For the consoles anyway, PC can get it on Steam, right? Sorry if I'm wrong.) Having Morrowind + Skyrim to play would mean double the gameplay length of Skyrim, at the least.

Is anyone else hoping for such a thing?

No.

This wouldn't benefit anyone. If you play on Ps3, you couldn't play Morrowind, as I know Bethesda wouldn't rebuild the game to be compatible with Sony's console. If you play on PC or 360, you'll either already have a copy, or have access to one for cheap at this point.

And how would Morrowind increase Skyrim's gameplay length? Owning Morrowind doesn't magically add more content into Skyrim. They're separate games.

I only have a notebook every since my PC crashed, and it can't play Morrowind well. I can't find a copy of the Xbox Morrowind anywhere in my country right now, and importing might be a problem if there are any code restrictions.

I'm not saying Morrowind would increase Skyrim's gameplay length directly, I'm trying to say that, for example if Skyrim is 100 hours, if you play Morrowind as well you would be spending like 200 hours.

EDIT : Since the PS3 can't support it, then this probably won't happen, so I guess I have an answer.

I don't see the problem, and I certainly wouldn't want it to happen just because I already own the games.

Giving away a nine year old game with a new game doesn't seem unreasonable to me

Of course this forum would be overrun with angry PS3 owners complaining and moaning, so - on second thoughts.......... :whistling:

Buddy, trust me and dont worry I can assure you that Skyrim is going to be much longer than 100 hours from what we have heard so far

I remember seeing, in a different thread, something about guards watching the boarder to Morrowind. What I would like to see is a major expansion into Morrowind. Kinda like the Shivering Isles.

Sure, why not? Doesn't harm anyone. Daggerfall was released as free, and it's not console friendly either. Hell, it's not even PC friendly :D I wanted to give it another go, but it just kinda never happened. Not so sure I'd want to give Morrowind another try, simply because the style didn't suit me very well.

It won't happen.

Go buy Morrowind GotY yourself, it's like $15.

It wouldn't work on the PS3 version, on the Xbox 360 I guess it works with backward compatibility, but it's also still selling well on Steam for PC.

I do have Morrowind GotY for the PC, but my notebook can't run it well and I can't find the Xbox version.

Check on Ebay for the Xbox version of Morrowind. I bet anything it will be on there.

I got mine on Ebay (GotY Ed. too). I think it cost me about £20 inc. postage. Expensive for an old game maybe, but still worth it to many.
