Dragging bodies

I voted only for carrying. I wouldn't mind an Assassin's Creed-style one. But it doesn't really bother me.

splinter cell is compared to thief is like doras adventures compared to morrowind morrowindto recite pc gamer: get it! get it! get iiiiiiiit!!!! (thief not doras adventures)

Yeah i hate splinter cell too. I've just played it, and i haven't played thief.

comparing Splinter Cell to Metal Gear Solid is like comparing Pong to Skyrim... maybe thats an exaggeration, but I think Metal Gear >> Splinter Cell

I dont need an animation for dragging picking things up. I do need a way to bring carried items through doors though.

It never bothered me to leave the dead around, nor did I ever really care about moving bodies.

Seems like a waste of time

Yeah, only thing I ever did with bodies was install a mod spell to disintegrate them. Not for any crime reasons, just to get rid of all those corpses to keep my save file size down.

Don't think I've ever killed someone in town in OB that wasn't part of a quest that demanded it. (like the grave robber. Of course, that's in a crypt, not really "in town".)

(oh, and the obligatory: "This isn't Metal Gear." :D)

Dragging AND carrying IMO seems a bit pointless. Its one or the other... I say dragging.

It would be pretty cool. I'd love to actually walk into a tavern and see my char pick up a bottle of mead.
On the subject of body toting, I think we should have seperate animations for dragging bodies. It always looks odd when you see things levitating

I personally think the grabbing key is underused. It would be epic to grab somebody by the chest area and lift them up - physical intimidation. Or grab them by the pants and chuck them over a rail/bar.

For my own tastes, though, dragging only needs to be made so it's a mite easier. Having to aim for the thigh bone was tiring in Oblivion, though Fallout's was better. Still needs work, though.

I think this is apart of a thread that I posted on but I cant remember which one it was. Anyways I think it should be like in Assassins Creed where you could carry a body and place somewhere in the city and the guards would come to investigate.

Only if you could dig a grave and put them in it.

i was just wondering what the forum thought about dragging corpses or carrying them and an animation for it. perhaps taking your arms and putting them under the dead persons arms and dragging them, picking them up and carrying them on your shoulders.
these are just some ideas if you have other ideas please share

I voted same as in oblivion, you don't really need an animation unless your planing to playthrough in third person imo.

I play third person about as much as I play first person, so I'd say it's not a bad idea. I think that, regardless of the animation, however, they need to make it easier to grab/move objects in the console version. If they can, of course. But I don't know much about the mechanics (?) of making video games, so I don't have any ideas as to how or what they would do for it...

They should take an lesson from Metal Gear Solid or Splinter Cell (or Thief? never played it. heard it's great).

adding the ability to hide bodies for the sake of not having anyone see/react to a dead body should be a crucial part of stealth, therefore it should have it's own animation to add to immersion.

It was terrible in Oblivion, you couldn't even really hold on to them.

I was just thinking the exact same thing!

It is awesome playing MGS and dragging enemies and stuffing them into lockers ect.
It's also fun tossing unconscious enemies off cliffs or into the ocean >=P

That would be awesome. It would really add for stealth characters, and it would definitely be better than oblivion. As long as the animation isn't really involved anyway. It should make you slower and only leave one arm free- to defend yourself.
