Hi, i'm only level 8 but encountered my first random dragon, i was on my way to a cave at 1:30 in the morning (i got brave and decided to go out at night) .. as i killed a few ghosts, i heard a roar, and saw a circling dragon, i spent 10 mins climbing and jumping up the mountain to confront him.. after 10 mins, countless magic, and all my potions/foods/plants i died.. only managed to get him to what i would say is 50%.. hell i found it insanely hard, he just wouldnt land at all, i got the occasional arrow onto him but it did nothing, he just murdered me from range doing fly-bys and flaming me... noway i could counter it as a warrior... i need melee, he landed once and thats where i did most my 45% of the damage, but he must of realised melee is bad for him and decided never to land again, can anybody give me some tips?

Was it using fire, use frost, and vice versa. There's also alot of elemental damage resistance gear in the game, so maybe you can use some to your advantage if you have any. Hiding behind objects like big rocks helps escaping the attacks. Also, if there's a town nearby, lure it to town, the guards will help ya.

not seen any elemental resist atm, it was just a plain old dragon, so i assume fire? ... i just couldnt find anywhere to hide, thought maybe my shield would help but nooope
