I'm enjoying it, but i'm putting crashy away for a little while, for at least for a patch or two.

I haven't experienced any crashes yet. Some lag, during one of the big battles early on. No spoilers.
I think the main problem with the hair/beards is that the faces actually look really good this go around. You can tell what got more time put into it.
Jeez man, I dodged a bullet just now. My game has been freezing every two hours or so and the last time it did...all my saves were gone. BUT I still had an auto save! Thank the Maker.
I was thinking of doing the same.....Way too many bugs atm, though, I guessed there would be. Releasing a game for 4 consoles and PC is bound to make some technical difficulties.
I found it...holy Maker. How in the name of Andraste do we even fight something like that?
At least High Dragons aren't pushovers.
Yeah, game has been smooth for me too. A little laggy during cutscenes but those seems to be locked at 30 fps.
PC or PS4 that is my question.
I have an i5-3570K CPU strapped with 12gb ram and a GTX 760 so I can probably run the game pretty well. Is there much of a difference between PC and console version ala DA:O? I never played DA2 either, should I start there and wait for a price drop?
Cheers, guv, but I read all that. I looked at a Reddit thread but didn't realise the first time that the one guy said he ran it fine on a 2C/4T laptop i5, if that's the case I an wondering why didn't they mention that in the specs.
OK, then. A good CPU is a must with DA:I

Thanks for the info. That is unfortunate news. Oh well...
Guess I will return the favor. You press your post on mobile and quote and edit options should be there.
Question for you then, I meet all recommended aside from CPU speed (it surpasses minimum though). Would you suggest going console or PC?
**I have the money to make a really beast gaming rig, but I'd rather save it for more important things, like a house or vacation.
What's your exact specs ??? (CPU-GPU)
With Minimum requirements, games are barely playable, so we leave that for now. !!!
If you have anything lower than a quad core at 3.0GHz, then DA in full HD, loaded with all the bells and whistles - this will not work. !!!
In this case, you should consider to buy it on a console.
This game on a console is equivalent to 1920x1080p "High settings" on PC, at 30 fps. (XBOX One comes until 900p)
As i stated above mantle gives a nice gaming boost, if you own a Radeon, Nvidia drivers having major issues.* !!!

Lindsey Stirling made this pretty cool https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuJnvC8voJY#t=35.
I thought it was pretty epic. The music for DA:I is awesome.
Just wish I could get my soundtrack download to work....
Yeah, I'll give it a pass on PC then, I'd have to turbo my processor (it gets a max of 3.3). First off, big deal breaker is my gaming rig is done for, so all I have is my gaming laptop from a few years ago. Here are the specs:
-Nvidia GTX 660M 2GB GDDR5
-16 GB DDR3 RAM
-Intel i7 3610QM with 2.3GHz base, but turbo up to 3.3GHz
Other stuff shouldn't be a problem at all. I'm bad with PC stuff, I haven't put much time into learning the components, so I would have no idea on how to even "turbo" my processor. What's your opinion on my specs? Keep in mind it's an old laptop-- Would I be able to hit the 1920x1080p, 30 fps mark? Would it kill my laptop? I'd rather not drop another 2k down when I haven't PC gamed in a while.
Well, if you judge from this site, your GPU has not enough power for 1920x1080 resolution !!!
http://oi58.tinypic.com/2utjhap.jpg
However, you could play it with minimum requirements, meaning at 1024x768 and probably low / medium(?!?) settings.

----------
As you see more and more newer games, having huge hardware requirements. (considering you wanna play at Full HD and at least high settings )
So you will be forced in the future to upgrade your PC, or at least buy a console. (It would be cheaper for you, if you don't want to throw too much on a gaming RIG)
----------
I saw some other games at notebookcheck. Your GTX660M will not run Metro 2033 at Full HD.
Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts is a no go, at Full HD too.
Witcher 2 will not run at Full HD. Consider how Witcher 3* will run !!!!
But you can lower your resolution to 1366x768 for the above games. Then you should get playable frame-rates. !!!
* PREDICTED REQUIREMNTS FOR ULTRA SETTINGS:
INTEL CPU Core i5-2500S 2.7GHz, AMD CPU Phenom II X6 1045T, NVIDIA GPU GeForce GTX 580, AMD GPU Radeon HD 6970 Lightning Edition, RAM 8 GB, DirectX DX11, HDD space 18 GB
After searching a bit over the net, Witcher 3 should be able to deliver 35-45 fps at 1080p max settings with 8x MSAA enabled.
All this on a GTX 780Ti. !!!
I might get this game but I'll wait for more patches and driver updates.
How did you arrive at these specs? If you don't mind, post an answer in the Witcher 3 thread. I'm interested.
I found them over the net !!!
I send you a PM. !!!
I am about 11 hours in and I recently just finished the Hinterlands and doing everything I could manage to do there at level 7. There are still like 6 rifts and a couple quests I just can't do because I get owned. And the Dragon of course, I knew it was futile to even attempt but I still tried 2 times. Managed to kill some of the smaller dragons but can't touch the big one.
I'm having a pretty good time with this game, put in those 11 hours yesterday.
Only have run into a couple problems on Xbox 1. Not being able to use anything on the quick bar and not being able to switch characters...a re-loaded save cleared that up.
I own both consoles already, it's just a matter of not wanting to upgrade my PC atm. I tied most of my money into investments or CDs while keeping a bit for emergencies. I figured I might as well save while in college for a house or retirement, else I might run into big problems down the road.
It's strange, my specs meet the required specs from Bioware and on canyourunit. I guess those aren't enough for a GPU though. Ah well, I'll run it on Xbox One then since it has multiplayer this time around. I appreciate the input.
Well, you know a GTX 660 (desktop GPU) is not equal to an GTX660M (Laptop chip GPU)
See how different specs those GPU's have.
GTX 660 (Desktop) -> http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-660/specifications
GTX 660M (Mobile) -> http://www.geforce.com/hardware/notebook-gpus/geforce-gtx-660m/specifications
A GTX660 has 2.5x more CUDA cores, 2.5x more Texture Fill Rate, 3.0x faster memory clock, 2.25x more memory bandwidth. !!!
For those who have played this on the Xbox One can you tell me what you think of it? Thanks
Well I finally got the game (darn European release dates and slow mail men, ugh). Loving the game so far but I haven't been able to play much because I suffer from the random crash to destop bug, yaaaay! And after a certain cutscene some of the face meshes started glitching and spiking off into the distance.
I play with a lot of things on ultra as that is what the game says my PC can handle, but I'm gonna tone a lot of it done to high and turn some options off, see if that helps. All my drivers are up to date and the origin overlay is disabled, so... yeah. https://twitter.com/dragonage/status/535466004328230912, so I'm hoping that whatever they end up releasing they do it soon.
