We hope BioWare is smart enough to know that their fans want closure to the Warden's story.

Never been able to kill Wynne in my game.
And yes its implied she can come back, but the events in DA2 are pretty much the smae time as DAO thats why flemmeth being back pisses me off.
I knew she would be back but seeing how I had only just killed her...

The events of DA2 take place over a ten-year time span. It begins during DAO's plot.

Spoiler
And concerning the god-child, I never got the impression that that particular thread would involve the Warden in the future, nor do I think (s)he's needed in it any longer. The child will be born, [censored] will go down, and others may/will end up paying the price for the Warden's decision.

Ah [censored] so Bioware has already made it so that I didnt kill her. Great. I love it when they do [censored] like this. Why not make ME3 so I kept the CB <_< I hate having choices made meaningless.

Don't jump to conclusions about the story.

Spoiler
Hawke is a refugee from Lothering. They don't specify *when* you as Hawke meet Flemeth, at least in anything I've seen so far. What's to say that Flemeth doesn't wave bye-bye to Morrigan and the two Wardens as they go off stage right, transform into her alternate form and greet Hawke, entering stage left. Your warden doesn't come back immediately to deal with Flemeth. The meeting with Hawke can be at any point before your Warden agrees to help Morrigan.

Because they made DA2 and its not about my warden, having it go back after 2 would just cause the problems that leaving origins caused by leaving loose ends. Besides they made it pretty obvious they dont want to go back, considering they already seem to like pre defined characters. If they actually wanted to go back to origins they shouldnt be making pre defined characters like Hawke. Because my character from origins is Unique, here in DA2 they dont like unique they want the same for everyone.

So you're saying making choices in order to shape Hawke's story will make everyone's Hawke the same. I fail to understand that. I guess the Warden is also non-unique, considering the same thing applies to him/her.

What I meant was, what makes you think they won't make another expansion/full game to end the Warden's story? BioWare is smart enough to know that their fans want closure to the Warden's story.

...

I got closure to my warden's story(s).

Well, I consider the DR to be part of my Warden's story, and I haven't seen what role the OGB plays, so I don't consider my Warden's story finished.

I still think that we'll play as the demon child in a future game. It doesn't necessarily have to be evil, considering that Morrigan wasn't.

Does anyone think we'll get a cinematic trailer for DA2 sometime soon? Sacred Ashes sold DAO for me. (Yes, I based my purchase on a cinematic trailer. Call me a svcker, but it was just that awesome.)

A trailer is set to come out on August 17th. Probably will be cinematic, which I really don't like. I didn't care for the Sacred Ashes trailer at all (yes, I know I'm the only one), and I would prefer seeing in-game footage that actually gives me a better idea of what the game is like and how it really looks.

Out of curiosity, has a mod been made yet that removes the invisible walls from outdoor areas? Not sure if that's even possible but I just thought I'd ask. I plan on buying this for the PC and playing it again but having no invisible walls keeping me funneled in a specific area would sure feel great. Note that I don't want something like this so I can go wandering off into an endless void, I would just like to no longer be bumping into invisible walls while outside.

To my knowledge, something liked that has not been created.

They're not done with Origins, more DLC is scheduled and there might or not be some final Warden story.

I shall sigh now - done - and explain again: Hawke is just the set name (guess what rhymes with arden and also had one) and the only thing that will be the same for everyone otherwise is the race. You can choose your looks, your profession, your way of doing things, your way in dialogue, your party, your story. Yes, YOUR story. The myth around Hawke is manifested later with a general idea, but you play what really happens. You can do the same thing with the Warden who "united the dwarves under a new leader, brought us help from the Brecilian Forest and from the Tower of Mages, and who slew the mighty Archdemon nearly on their own". See? ^_^

@xXAntibodyXx
Wouldn't really be possible. The structure of levels is like a box with invisible walls inside another box with more beautiful surroundings that is then painted inside. You could remove the wall, but then you'd band your head against the wallpaper of the visible one. And your party running against a matte painting would not quite be right, either, eh?

RedViv, sorry but I'm not sure what you're alluding to. "Garden"? "Warden"?

On a side note, everyone assumes Morrigan's child would be like Cthulhu or a demon. As far as I can tell, the old gods were dragons, so the child would be a dragon/human hybrid. I'm guessing his or her appearance would be human until they choose to bring out the draconic aspect (during combat, for example).

Warden, of course. The Warden always had a set last name, but was mostly referred to as "Warden" after the Origins. This time around people just say "Hawke" all the time and not only in the beginning. That and being human are the only things separating Origins and DA2 from what the devs already stated multiple times - they don't use the same approach as the ME team.

1.04 patch has been released for the PC.

Edit: And apparently it just [censored]s up the game even more.

That's what a patch in every big game does, isn't it? :hehe:

Yeah, Beth is an especially bad offender. Three patches with real solutions, maximum - the rest fixed stuff broken in a previous minor patch and offered new capabilities for the DLC packs.
Players these days don't seem to care that much about it, or they'd be sure to protect their sales with better patch support. Luckily we have the unofficial patches on the PC.

I cannot get into playing a mage. I wanna get to the point where I can become a battle mage but I can never get that far without getting bored.

Really? I have to talk myself out of playing yet another mage, usually. I find the class a LOT of fun.

My current character is a female noble/knight. I'm kind of at a dangerous point in playing "Dragon Age" -- the point when you've heard the dialogues and cutscenes enough to have them memorized. I guess it's almost time to buy "Awakenings" in order to have new plots (also I've sent for the Guild Wars trilogy, though I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high).

If I were you, I'd take a break from the game for a few months.

This is what I had to do. I started skipping the cut-scenes cause I had seen them all 2-3 times. When I play a game of this caliber I cannot be skipping half the story.

I just got Awakening. It just feels strange. First of all, I don't doubt I am bound to run into mod conflicts. Had to start all over because of one. Second, why does it feel so rushed? I get 30 seconds of story, and then it's all combat. Dialogue feels short and rushed. I meet Oghren, and I barely say anything to him.

I am really disappointed so far. I hope it gets better.

Second, why does it feel so rushed?

Because it was? Pretty much at the root of Awakening's problems, and it shows especially in both the beginning and end, which are the weakest points. Everything in between the first and last dungeon is better.

Just be glad you waited for a price drop.
