Dragon Age: Origins & Awakening & DA2

I mean, it's not like we had a predefined last name in Origins.

Oh, wait...

True, true. I forgot about that. At least it varied depending on your origin. =)

The only difference is that the PC will be called Hawke instead of the Warden. It doesn't bother me at all.

I'm finding AoE grinding really fun on my mage, I'll have a rogue stealth through a bunch of enemies, exit stealth, and bring them back to me all clustered, then Virulent Walking bomb on one enemy, normal walking bomb on another, throw in a chain lightning on stragglers.

Nope, but you know what the problem is with Flemeth, do you not? ^_^

If that is Flemeth, and it may well be - she sure cleaned up awesome! :)

I like the deep roads shot too. Is that the Architect silhouetted in the archway at the end?

Doesn't really look like him. Then again, he might have used one of the helmets the model for this statue wore to form his own one. Looks kind of similar.

I'm afraid I don't know what you're referring to. Care to explain?

Ah, I see. That's exactly what I'm thinking.

So you're saying Flemeth has taken control of Morrigan's body?

Does anyone know how Alistair reacts to the Warden in Awakening if he and Anora rule Ferelden, and Loghain becomes a Warden?

Not much different if he ruled otherwise from what I remember.

All right, thanks.

IMO, having Alistair and Anora rule, and having Loghain do the Joining seems like the best thing to do.

Feh.

Loghain is the worst warrior. I did that ending once, he got killed constantly all the way up to the rooftop. Besides, Alistair is right - it's a travesty to allow Loghain to live.

Indeed.

How can I expect Logy to go through the whole soul-obliteration thing for me when he keeps tripping on his own intestines? Hero of River Dane my ass! :P

I honestly don't know why they said "You will be shocked when you find out who it is! SHOCKED, I tell you!", when everyone assumed it will be Flemeth right away. Anyway, the first time we see Flemeth in DA2 is in the form of a dragon, as she approaches Hawke and says "Well, well. What have we here?".

I did each of the other endings once. Now if I'm doing another run through, I go for the Alistair/Anora and "him" as a Warden. Of course I make sure I set up his tactics for healing potions and give him a better weapon at the very least. An iron sword isn't going to cut it at the end of the game. I haven't had that much of a problem with him. At the very least he isn't the trap magnet that Alistair is; no matter where my party was, if I heard Leliana say "trap right ahead" and I heard the trap go off, it was always Alistair standing there trying to get out of it. That wolf ambush? He found almost every single one of them; I ended up leaving him unconscious until we cleared out the wolves because he was getting mauled while stuck in the traps more than he was helping with the wolves.

Heh I remember back in the day there was plenty of fanfic around Imoen, and when BG2 came around and it turned out she was your sister, hillarity ensued.

I sure that decision was made just to mess with the fanfic writers, I just know it :P

Really? Alistair does seem to get caught in traps pretty regularly after the fact, which I find hilarious, but in almost every one of my playthroughs he has been a rock-solid tank. In fact he very rarely dies. My favorite landsmeet conclusion
Spoiler
is to have him fight Loghain one on one - by that point, Al is badass. It seems very fitting, and he dispatches Loghain like a warrior should. I cannot see any reason to let Loghain live after he abandoned his king, his best friend's son, his daughter's husband, on the field at Ostagar. None of the reasons the ardent Loghain supporters have come up with about "why" he did that take away the fact that this supposedly amazing war leader quit the field. If he was so intelligent and supporting of the crown, he would not have needed to wait for the signal fire anyway... And then he grabs the regency - why? If Anora was fit to rule, she was certainly of age not to need her father as regent. Heh - sorry, I feel like the writers really flubbed the whole ending triangle there, with trying to basically retcon Loghain in order to allow an "ending" that doesn't really gibe well with the story they were telling. Having Alistair run off in a snit does such a disservice to what may arguably be the best developed character in the game. It breaks his character, basically, which was really disappointing. And which is why Loghain always gets offed in my games.

I have to replay this game keeping in mind that Flemeth is Morrigan. Sadly, I no longer have it... Ebay it is, then.

edit: Mike Laidlaw just said Awakening decisions will also carry over.
