I'd recommend http://a.imageshack.us/img72/319/screenshot2010072523123.jpg, but it's a mod.

Anyway, for vanilla, I quite like the Juggernaut armor.

I don't have it for pc so no mods for me. Also, I didn't spell blood right. Lol. I keep my eyes open. I hope they remove those auras in the second game.

BioWare has done a really stellar job on getting me completely uninterested in the sequel. Full-fledged character creation is one of the things I love the most about games like Dragon Age, Elder Scrolls, Neverwinter Nights etc. And then they suddenly decide to throw it away and head in a Mass Effect/The Witcher direction. Why can't they let DA remain as the former category instead pushing it into a stricter narrative? I loved the dwarf lore in the first game and playing as a dwarf noble, was looking forward to playing a dwarf again in DA2.

Doesn't help that the graphics have amazingly enough gotten worse somehow, either.

Are there any perks for buying awakening new? Is that Lelianas song thing good? How about darkspawn chronicles?

There aren't any extras if you buy Awakening new. The only DLCs I purchased so far are Warden's Keep and Return to Ostagar because I am only interested in add ons that integrate into the main game which is the reason why I may also buy Golems of Amgarrak. However, the consensus is that Lelianna's song is not too bad and that Darkspawn Chronicles is really bad.

Darkspawn Chronicles was pretty awful. Never bothered to finish it, uninstalled it. I found Leliana's song a bit boring, I didn't finish it yet.

"Feastday pranks" seems too stupid to live.

It is, for some reason I purchased it, terrible, terrible stuff. Bioware has just got bad dlc.

Speedrunning trough Origins in 35 minutes? There has to be cheats and/or glitches involved.

He uses a levelup glitch and supposedly an out of bounds glitch as well as he runs it on version 1.0 of the game.

This sounds suspiciously like Mass Effect 1/2 interviews, but just throwing Dragon Age terms/things into it. Now there's apparently background of what our amazing character has already done. Yep, Mass Effect-izied.

Is there a glitch that removes all the filler combat? Or does he play on easy with an overpowered build?

My fasted speed run took me about 21 hours...

And yes, I skipped the fade.

I rather enjoyed that read. Especially about the combat and graphics on the console version. I know it's ported from PC but maybe more effort in the console version?

This time around, the console and PC versions are produced at the same time. As for the graphics, some PC users might argue that the talk about the art style is just to hide the fact that Bioware does not care about the graphics on the PC anymore and only optimise for consoles... But looking at the console version of DA:O, this is complete garbage.

Well, I don't really like pointy armour, what can I say?

As for the article, I didn't like it. Not because he was complaining, but because he was complaining so badly. Badly, meaning about things that I wouldn't have and then going back and praising things that I wouldn't have. Obviously, it's opinion, but let me give you an example. He said that maybe they should implement a time limit on the main quest to increase urgency. This is fine- I'm not sure it would sell, but it's fine as an idea. Then he goes back and says urgency isn't an issue because the game isn't going to be urgent.

He also complains about the combat saying it was extremely chaotic and hard to get a grasp of, especially for newbies. Good point, but he also mentions that the confusion is a good thing. How can they keep the good parts (confusion) and remove the bad parts (confusion)? He also doesn't mention anything about the pointless amount of filler combat they put into some parts of the game just so that it has X hours of gameplay.

The Themes section is all praise with a small nitpick at the end. I'm sure most people could come up with a better criticism than that (ex: Level scaling).
