Please don't flame me, but I've been a member of GameSpot for the last 3 1/2 years, and I'm receiving regular updates on DA 2.
One of the latest (Updated Hands-On - Spotlighting the Rogue), the editor says, in part, " While you won't be playing as the unstoppable force of nature that we first experienced in that original Comic-Con demo, BioWare is still aiming to turn Dragon Age II's combat into a more fluid, less clunky affair--all without trading in the tactical elements that made the first game so much fun."

Unfortunately they seem to have removed or changed just about everything that made DA:O enjoyable for me. While my mages were okay, and I enjoyed playing them, my favorite characters were dual wielding rogues and warriors. My warriors used a bow as well; sometimes taking a few shots before closing to melee range was a good idea. I was happy that, unlike ME and ME2 they actually laid out the dialogue, and didn't have a voice actor that grated on my nerves like fingernails on a chalkboard. When I finally got ME, I made one male Shepard. Poor guy never made it off the Normandy to Eden Prime. I couldn't stand his voice. If femShep had an actor that irritated me to the same extent, the game would have gone into my "oh well, it looked good" pile. I liked ME and ME2 for what they were. I intentionally bought Dragon Age: Origins after following the development of the "unnamed Bioware rpg" for a very long time on the original Bioware forums. It was supposed to be an "old school type" rpg, and imo, it delivered most, if not all of what they attempted.
So now apparently only rogues can dual wield. Warriors can't use a bow at all. And they haven't announced who the two voice actors are going to be for Hawke. I could also live without the flashes of "300". Jumping around like a rabid kangaroo doesn't really appeal to me. And I could also do without the "sweeping cinematics". If I want to watch a movie, I will. I want to play a game, not "sweeping cinematics" with interactive clicky bits that have to be chosen with hints and an icon. I hated the fact that in ME/ME2 I had no idea what Shepard would say, besides good, neutral, jerk type replies. Sometimes what was said was nowhere near what I wanted. I guess I wasn't supposed to notice that while caught up in the "sweeping cinematic" experience.
I check their forums once in a while, hoping they'll announce the voice actors for Hawke before the game releases. The more information they release though, the less I want the game. Which svcks after how much I enjoy DA:O.
