Dragon Age: Origins, Awakening & DA2

Post » Thu Feb 03, 2011 8:15 pm

I don't think DA 2 is going to be a failure but Bioware needs to learn that Development time should take three years and not two years. Hopefully they realize that when Skyrim destroys it's competition and that's saying it lightly.

That was okay, but the murder-knife scene after was unbelievably lame.

So was that one persons acting I cant say who, but cnsidering what happened they didnt seem to outraged and were suprisinly calm, broke immersion, needs a better VA.

And yeah the scene was pretty boring after that .

Oh? I'm expecting it to be just like their previous games, good foundation, but lacking in fine tuning, requiring few dozen mods to "fix" :hehe:

Well atleast its not cut and turned into dlc...
But BW really are quite pathetic when you look att what they did, cant even prioritise.

Best part isthis makes it feel more like a hack and slash.

Also not BWs iming, lots of people have games shipped already no refunds, [censored] you bioware, this timing is too convenient, obviously they dont want to risk sales.

Sojourner is it worse than Awakening ? Becuase that was terrible.

I dont see the point of a day one buy for this, if its like awakening you will need the wiki to find a way to get through some parts without bugs, like sigruns quest... Notg a bug, just stupid [censored] design, let me disable the option of a companion quest befroe even meeting the companion *mumbles*

Ha ha... hack and slash. Get it? Hack and Slash the content? Hahahah.

I agree, they aim for the stars but they land on the moon instead. The Moon's not bad but it's not the stars.

This anticipation until the game unlocks at midnight is too much.

It's kind of a weird feeling to have it already installed on your hard drive, but you can't launch it yet.

No auto attack confirmed huh? And I just go back from the store putting in my pre-order. :(

I played the demo a couple weeks ago, and the only thing I thought was weird was spamming the attack button. I really thought this was an oversight that made it into the demo. Lo and behold this makes it into the console version. I haven't been really keepin up on all the news w/ DA2. Did they it was something they might fix in a patch or is this something that console users will have to live with?

Spamming an attack button in an "RPG" yearrgh.

The high res texture pack has taken longer to download than the entire game on Steam.

the transfer rate is slower than molasses on a 30Mb/s connection

If you have a Nvidia card, the latest beta driver is supposed to help.

pre loading da2, when exactly is it playable? If it lasts for atleast 20 hours i would say its worth the money. I'm fine with most of the changes, haven't read the spoilers, (thank jesus for my iron will) But i'm sure the story will be bearable, if not decent

The PC Gamer reviewer who played it wrote that it's 50 hours.

Eh, I am on a laptop with Geforce 330M GT and even after downloading the newest driver (267.31?) DX10 is still laggy as heck during big fights. :sadvaultboy:

This game seems a wee little bit more demanding for a console port, LOL!

DA2 import is bugged. Bravo BW, DAA, witch hunt and now DA2 all fail at importing. I get the feeling this was VERY rushed.

Oh an apparently they already have ieas for DA3, its a rumor, but dear god this is insane, CoD level of production.

Worse, actually. I recall the developer getting out a patch pretty quick. Knowing Bioware, they might have a patch out in a month, and it won't fix much and will probably break other stuff. And, knowing Bioware, they'll toss out a couple more DLC's and forget about patching the game properly. :flame:

Apparently the bug was known SINCE THE DEMO!

So glad I am waiting for this to drop, I dont think it will take long to reach the bargin bin by the sound of things.

Yea, just read that Kirkwall feels lifeless and copy-paste syndrome is pretty damn bad.

Lifeless and its most of the game in there, add copy past caves, and someone says ts like AC1 all the same missions. Its actually worse than awakening b the sound of it.

Allthough if I get it and like it (its possible but seems unlikely) I will be dissapointed because it sounds as though there wont be another DA game because this one seems like such a trainwreck, gameplay, story, bugs, everything.
Its a shame that the series could end with this.

And this is why BW should stop rushing things, and it explains why it takes less memory.

I predict the same for ME3 becuase it followed the same rushing path, announced allready, features stripped, but thats a different topic, BW is going downhill and seems to take the activision approach. Glad bethesda is still here, games are rarer but are better.

I love this review. http://www.cbc.ca/news/technology/story/2011/03/04/f-dragon-age-2-review.html

What I took away from this. It's only getting a good review because it's the first in for RPG season. Hahahahaha.
