(using the sacrifice speel would be very out of character, so it don't acknowledge it)

Does Blood Sacrifice work if you cast it on the Mabari? Sounds pretty mean, I know, but just curious.

I didn't like most of the changes but I still recommend playing through it at least once. Its not that long so you wont suffer for long.

I wasn't clear; I did play it through. My brother, the one who actually paid for the game, lost interest in it and never finished it. Given his track record on other games, once he leaves it, he won't finish it for a very long time, if ever. Something else will catch his attention.

No, it can only be used on party members. It worked in Origins since summoned creatures were party members, in DA2 they are just allies. Same applies to Blood Slave, you can't enslave and then sacrifice them.

The complete re-design of the Qunari is one of the things I liked most about DA2.

In DAO, Sten appeared a bit too orcish IMO.

Honestly, he looked just like a weird human. This way they give off more of an exotic vibe.

And by the way, they haven't re-designed them per se. From http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Qunari:
In Dragon Age II, it is revealed that most qunari have horns. Some are born without them, but it is not considered a defect — on the contrary, those born without horns are considered special, as they are meant for a special role in Qunari society such as a Ben-Hassrath or an envoy to the other races. Sten, as a soldier of the Beresaad, falls into this category.

Yes, that's just a story to sell the re-design, but there you have it.

I like what they did with the Qunari. I thought that Sten was just a human from another land at first, he definitely didn't look like an entirely different race.

The elves are definitely less unique thanks to how the resemble the Narvis; Qunaris....to make them less "human" so player wouldn't feel bad about killing them?

Considering how many humans you kill, I sincerely doubt that's the reason.

Qunari Horns were mentioned in the Codex and developers said that they had horns even before DA2 was announced.

Main article: Codex entry: The Qunari
See also: Qunari

Anyone who travels far enough to the north will eventually encounter the qunari: White-haired, bronze-skinned giants, a head again taller than a man, with frighteningly calm demeanors and a sort of sparkling fire behind their eyes.

For quite a long time, people believed that all qunari were male, or that their men and women were simply indistinguishable. It was not until the Blessed Age that diplomats from Rivain were allowed, however briefly, to visit Par Vollen, and there they discovered that qunari females do exist in abundance, and are quite easily recognized. The Rivaini say that qunari have a certain kindness to them, or at least a conspicuous lack of cruelty, although I did not observe the creatures closely enough to evaluate their character

Codex entry from Origins. White hair, bronze skin, giant.

Until DA2 information came out, I don't remember seeing anything about horns. I could have missed it, though.

It's a sloppy retcon if you ask me. And a nonsensical one. The Qunari's horns are too large and thick and they have prominent bone ridges where they grow to ever be able to make a clean, scarless/stumpless cut that all those Tal-Vashoth were supposedly able to do in DAO. I think I can come up with a better one. Ahem...

"Like all races of Thedas, the Qunari are a diverse people of several distinct ethnicities. Though in the past, the horned ones were widely believed to be an entirely different people, in truth, the presence, shape, and size of the horns is no different than the assorted hair colors you, I, and our neighbors possess. The hornless variety, more common in Seheron, are the ones more often seen in the mainland. Due to their ability to better blend in and relate to the Thedosians, they are the ones most often sent as emissaries, ambassadors, traders, scouts, and spies."

See thats a much better explanation.
