Dragon Age: Origins, Awakening & DA2

That sounds uncomfortable and weird... Got nowhere else to put the computer? I'm just saying, because of your health in the future - your back is probably going to get seriously [censored] up in a couple of years.

I can't move it, its a desktop and the internet box is in my room. So it would be very inconvient to have to move all of that. For now I will just use the mouse only and the onscreen keyboard to type.

I don't mean to be a bother but perhaps you should think about investing in a wireless adapter for your PC so you can move it somewhere where you'll be comfortable working on it. They're really not expensive, as you can see http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=31&name=Wireless-Adapters&Order=RATING.

I do have a wireless router and adapter. I could move the computer somewhere else but then my signal would be very low and I wouldn't believe to play online games without lag. Moving the internet box would take a lot of work since that spot in my room is the only suitable place. I would have to pay the cable company to install it somewhere else and they would probably have to cut holes in my walls to run wires through. Anyway its just to much of a hassle to bother with, this is one of the reasons I try to avoid PC gaming. I couldn't for Dragon Age since that was the only system my friend could find it for(he owed me money $50, so he bought me a game). Anyway lets get back on topic again. Dragon Age is great.

That's a shame then.

And yes, we're off-topic again. Derailing skillz0rz FTW.

I actually wanted to ask, does anyone know of a mod that integrates The Stone Prisoner a bit more... seamlessly in DA:O? As it is now it's a bit ridiculous - right at the beginning of whatever origin you choose you get a journal entry telling you to go to Sulcher's Pass. It's sort of immersion-breaking to see that right at the beginning. Is there a mod which makes it so that that journal entry appears after battle of Ostagar or something like that?

You got that right. So you've got 3 ranged attackers and 1 melee in that party? Does Fenris die alot for you? He sure does for me when I try a similar party. I always got to limit my party to 1-2 ranged and 2-3 melee.

In my experience the opposite has been true.

If there is more than one melee party member, Fenris kills the other one with friendly fire (unless it is rogue Hawke, who can quickly switch between melee and ranged and keep out of his way).

thats my standard party too Was in DA:O too. 3 ranged 1 melee. In my current DA:O game I'm running with Me(Mage) Morrigan, Alister, and Lilianna. I'm doing a another run so I can import and see what changes.

Wait there's friendly fire? They why in Normal does all my AoF spells do nothing to my party members?

In DA:O http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Difficulty_Settings, in DA2 http://www.%5Bcensored%5D/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=53419. edit: censored? wtf?

I'll repost this from previous page:

I doubt Avelin would go down so easily.

I have no Idea Veeno, I usually hit up the stone prisoner mission after I did two allies usually it's Mage first, then redcliff then Shale. (Just like what I'm doing now. :D)

anyway, I ran into a problem, Warden's keep isn't showing up, I can talk to the guy, I agree, and he's still there and repeats the last convo if you talk to him again, and no map marker for Warden's keep.

started up origins again today. Im amazed at its replayability.. Provided i use the skip ostagar and the fade mods. Those pirtions get way too old over time.

When using Aveline, I spend too much time trying to maneuver her out of the way of Fenris's attacks and she doesn't really serve any purpose. Another mage is much more helpful to set up CCCs IMO.

Fenris doesn't one-shot Aveline, but her health drops a lot and she frequently gets staggered by his crits.

Why exactly is Fenris killing party members? I didn't even know it was possible to friendly fire with melee.

With Giant's Reach, each of your 2H warrior's attacks are extended an additional 1m. With Sunder, his critical hits cause STAGGER.

Whirlwhind & Scythe are AoE attacks. Also, with upgraded Lyrium Ghost, Cleave and Veneer of Calm attacks by Fenris have higher crit % or higher damage.

It's possible for Sword & Shield warriors to cause friendly fire as well, but I believe the angle of their attack is slightly more narrow, so they are less likely to do so. (Also no Giant's Reach for Aveline.)

For example, if Fenris is blocking a chokepoint and Aveline is standing right next to him, attacking the same enemies, Aveline will take massive damage from Fenris, but Fenris will not likely take friendly fire from Aveline.

Eey, that's the only way I can get myself through the 1st playthrough; then I realize negative dialog could be interesting as well.

However, neither is as good as the "horrible" Alpha Protocol.

That face looks a bit too old for the supposed "youngest Cousland child" type of character, but that's just my opinion.

I went ahead with the toolset, used Fergus Cousland's facemorhp as a base and created my own "canon-looking" http://www.dragonagenexus.com/imageshare/images/582010-1297338071.jpg. :hehe:

He said Mage origin not Human noble. The mage origin is not the youngest Cousland child. You have only played the human noble origin have you?
