Dragon armor makes me look like an idiot.

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 2:03 am

The other day, I got the Dragon armor perk by making 500000000 iron knives. I excitedly went and fetched my collection of Dragon bones and whatnot and set about smithing up a bunch of dragon armors.

I put it on and my excitement was quickly replaced by "Oh..."

That's right, I looked like a tick turd.

Now I have reverted to Ebony because its the only armor that doesn't make me look like a walking clothes rack.

In my opinion, ALL armor should be customisable at least down to colour and markings.

Does anyone agree?

I think someone's working on an armor dyeing mod, so PC users at least will have some control over it. In my opinion though the dragon light armor looks ok (apart from the helmet.) The heavy also looks decent on female characters.

But it makes you look like one of those cattapillars that disguises itself by looking like spikey bird poo. I hate it.

yh I go with this.

This doesn't really effect me as I've stopped wearing helmets as my character's head looks too cool - long haired Nord with face paint and light scaring

I'm not a fan of it either but I never expected to like all the armor. I've never liked how a lot of Dwemer armor looks.

Same with glass armor (superhero) not to mention Forsworn or Falmer armor... (elaborate swimsuits)

As someone else said :"In TES games I only wear cool armors" :)

I can't even assign it to a follower as I can't stand the sight of them in it.

I guess my point is, that the most powerful armor makes you look like a bit of tree bark.

It looks A LOT like something Blizzard would come up with for WoW.

the style of the game seems to influenced by wow with it's cartoonish aesthetic
some of my coworkers who play wow says skyrims design reminds them alot of wow

but yeah dragon armor is the fugliest armor in the game, looks like somethng out of a corny 80s anime and a football pads

personally I like the ebony the best, nightingale is cool, and the hood dragon priest masks look awesome

Well, i find that most high level armors are ugly; i prefer armors like iron and fur armor. its more..dovahkiin-ish.

Seeing as I spend 99% of the time looking at the back of my characters head, I think it looks pretty damn cool from than angle.

It's not the armor it's your face :) J/K

I like the thieves guild master armor myself, with the Shrouded armor hood for the increased bow damage...so no need for smithing

Dragonscale looks pretty decent, IMO. But Light Armor tends to get dismissed, because of the way the smithing tree is set up. It doesn't matter. You'll survive well enough in 300-something Exquisite Glass or Scale until you can make your suit of Dragonscale from up the Heavy side. And then you'll be laughing at mofos as they hack away. And your stamina regen will be awesome.

yeah that armor is great too, I agree with some of the other opinions about choosing the rugged fur and leather armors

they fit the game better and don't loom anywhere near as corny as the elven and dwarven armors which made my character look like a giant gold doo doo brick princess

I like the robes alot too, like I said rugged is the way to go in this game

I agree with you on the Dwarven Armor. I always thought it looked crappy. As for the Dragon Armor, The light isn't too bad and the heavy is just ugly as all hell.

There is a solution.

Wear dragon armor and play in first person.

Problem solved.
