Dragons are starting to feel like a pest.

As they should be :P

I'm 60 hours in game and encountered 6 or 7 (got 5 shouts)

I've completed the main quest and now it feels like there's more dragons than ever strangely enough.
Anyone know if invisibility lets you escape a dragon fight? Would be convenient.

I made a thread on this yesterday... I really regret getting further into the MQ now....

How far are you guys in the MQ? I just did the climb to High Hrothgar, 41 hours played and only 4 dragons killed, including the scripted one. I don't fast travel a lot though.

I think there's a luck element too, they seem to be set to spawn at a certain location. I reloaded a few times and fast travelled to the same location each time, and the dragon spawned there each time. But it didn't appear anywhere else.

So the people who aren't seeing them might just be unlucky to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I have also done up to retrieving the horn and dragon encounters are not very frequent for me. I've so far had one fight in Whiterun, couple outside Riften and a few out in the wilderness but only near the mountains. I wonder if some of it has to do with what perks you choose too.

So, umm... If you already have more dragon bones and scales in storage than you'll ever need, even if you get hired to outfit the entire city militia with dragon armor, and your main complaint about dragon encounters is that the dragon bones and scales weigh you down too much... Why don't you just stop hitting "take all" and leave the dragon parts on the carcass? You don't need them, carrying them annoys you, so don't take them.

The corpses seem to persist if you don't loot them. I had 1 dragon corpse persist for weeks in game before I finally took everything off it then it disappeared in a day.

Besides I can always use the gold, it's just I set myself off to do a quest or explore somewhere, kill 1 dragon and am 100 pounds heavier and have to sell off or whatever and I'm no more closer to doing the quest or exploring the cave.

I'd say the chief complaint though is that the frequency cheapens the experience of a dragon fight.

Though at my level with a legendary crafted daedric bow, and over 80 archery and sneak pretty much any fight has been cheapened, realistically. I 1 shot giants and 3 shot normal dragons.

My bow isn't even enchanted cause I haven't gotten it up high enough yet to make an enchant I'm happy with (and daedric hearts are rare)

Hm, I don't see that many. Maybe they increase in frequency the farther you advance the main questline?
