Dragon killed my favorite Blacksmith?

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 10:08 am

So Dragons attack towns...and kill people. Ok. That's fair. But SKyrim is populated by like, 10 to 20 people- seriously it's a depopulated place. Why kill the blacksmith and not just nameless guards who can be replaced!? [censored]. No I can't buy ore and stuff in town... and the smithy is totally closed up... except when I work it. As the game wear son this is SERIOUSLY DEPRESSING how many people are dead and littering the streets!!!!

If the whole world was destroyed down to three people they would be as follows:
-Dovakiin
-Sweet Roll guard
-the "Psst, I know who you are, Hail Sithis" master of subtlety guard.

I had that problem too. Fought an Elder Dragon in Karthwasten who killed the entire population of the town. Not even kidding. One-shotted all of them even while I was bashing on him. There was nothing I could do...

Three weeks later in game time, I went back to Karthwasten. All the bodies were still there, and there was not a living person to be found.

Maybe if the frickin cloth-wearing peasants would, I don't know, GO INSIDE and COWER in FEAR, instead of trying to take on a fricking ELDER DRAGON with their FISTS, they might not have become dragon chow...

It would be nice if there were stronger indications that a dragon attack was going to happen, so you could actually act to prevent it.

Better if the already meagre number of merchants would stop being such extras to attack a dragon :) Although i've never had a dragon attack me in town before, im lucky on that.

The blacksmith in Riverrun was killed by a dragon and the next day he was back at work. Guess it depends if it is part of the story line.

Given the current state of affairs in Skyrim, no city would be without a blacksmith. If one died, an apprentice would quickly rise up to take their place. The gear might svck, but somebody would be making it.

Yeah, I wish the cities were actual cities populated my a bunch of people. As it is now, even the bigger cities would pass for smaller cities in Oblivion.

Hmm, that's a good idea for a mod, when the CK comes out.

I just think it's a silly game mechanic as it is... let the dragonborn handle things- run away ya stupid gingang peasants! And anyway... there's only 20 people in all of Skyrim so far as I can tell... the game is seriously underpopulated to start with.

No wonder why the towns are so devoid of life. Most of Skyrim inhabitants are rogues and necromancers holed up in the caves! :whistling:
