Dragon Plate Armour

Hey guys I was wondering if the only way to get the dragon armour was through smithing?
Thanks in advance.

I've seen bits and pieces in a few dungeons, but probably not enough to assemble a full set just yet. I crafted my own, but I prefer the Dragonscale.

Be warned, it's pretty darn rare. I've only found one pair of dragon plate boots at level 53.

My wife found a dragon scale armor at level 30-something though, but that's about it, no full sets or anything like that.

Haven't ever checked shops though, this is just dungeon diving

I've yet to find Ebony or Glass, let alone Deadric and Dragon D:

You can never buy dragon armour or deadric in shops unfortunately.

It's kind of annoying that Daedric is actually better in stats. I think maybe Dragon plate and Daedric should be reversed. Not a big deal of course. I have SO many dragon bones and scales that I'd dearly like to be able to do SOMETHING with them so I'm definitly going to do some smithing. Probably sell most of it though. At my level in the low 20s the best I've seen is the occasional ebony item.
