ok.. wowowow hold on a second.... so i encountered krosis... and i play on adept. im a lvl 30 mage... and umm.. i do no damage at all t othe damn thing... not to mention it summons things which i have to spend mana killing... it seems impossible for me to kill it even drinking a [censored] ton of mana pots... i did so little damage with my full mana bar that i know it is hopeless... how am i supossed to kill that thing??

edit; if this has to do with the whole destro doesnt scale with lvl thing ima be pissed... cuz it hasnt affected me at all until right this very moment faceing krosis... if that is the case that is... any warriors having trouble with this dude??

Many dungeons in Skyrim have a level range. Not all things in the game are doable at low levels. You've found higher level content. My suggestion is leave and return later.

I gave up on my mage and became an Archer. I fought Krosis on expert and I must have been lucky because he didn't summon anything. He just shot big fireballs, so I got on top of a rock and because of the angle, his fireballs hit the side of the rock and they weren't big enough to reach me. I just shot him with arrows for a few minutes and he died.

I fought him at level 20 or so, and had focused mostly on health leveling to that point. I was fighting him and burning through my potions pretty quickly when I remembered that i had some damage magika regen poisons. Those stopped him pretty quick, but I don't know if I could've survived his initial volley without 200ish health.

Use other magic classes. If you have "calm" and have the perks for it then use that. You can hack away at him and he wont fight back. If your only using destruction well....

Sneaking+Archery. You will become unstoppable.

and to the guy who did it at 20... idk how u did it... i have 210 health but the problem isnt his damage to me.. its the fact that i barely do any damage to him... i burned through my mana and i didnt even come close to taking away 1/5 of his health... i was like is this a joke??? i guess ill come back later when i feel like im a super uber mage lol

Krosis uses magic shields, so your dmg done by spells is pathetic.

yea i mean right now im speced destro.. with resto and conjuration... 100 smithing for dragon plate and at about 83 enchanting so i guess i may be a bit over leveled... my atronach does nothing.. my heals just waste more precious mana and my main damage does nothing lol i guess ill come back when i have my gear fuly enchanted or something lol

Just beat Krosis on Expert as a Level 21 Warrior. I just chain-stunned him with Dual Wield Power Attacks. That's what he gets for being such a fireball spamming [censored].

Do you at least have a heavy hitting melee follower? Tried healing hands on your follower and letting her do the damage?

I'm not a mage. I'm using a war axe and swinging it wildly. Also, I had about 2/3 of my inventory devoted to potions (because I never sell the damn things or drop them off in my house). Basically, i used most of them and barely won. I think if I had started off by using my damage magika regen poison I probably would have done better though.

yea i guess i just bought into the hype of be who you want do what you want too much lol... i wanted to be a mage wearing heavy armor... i didnt think it woudl bite me in the ass so hard... i wonder how long itll take till i even out with the dragon priest... cuz honestly against everything else i do fine or just murder them... but that krosis just wow lol

I don't know. He stood still after I poisoned him, so I assumed it worked. Maybe he got bored?

Oh, and OP, I destroyed the next dragon priest I met, without poisons (low level 30s), so they get easier.

yea i had to use physical attacks to take him out for the most part and i fought him around lvl 22. He likes putting up his wards to block magic

1) Mage's have the worst damage in the game by a huge margin, you aren't a DPS machine on your own.
2) The fact you are running out of mana means you haven't gotten or enchanted your gear to have magicka cost reduction(you should have 100% reduction for destruction or close to it if you plan on nuking)
3) Stop using destruction... in fact if you've invested in it either restart and never touch it again or hold out for a respec mod. Switch to conjuration this is where you get half decent damage from especially once you get to summoning dremora lords(2 of them at 100 skill!)


This is completely and utterly wrong. Crafting is where nearly ALL of your damage will come from. It's the difference between 100 damage melee swings and 3000 damage melee swings.

i don't remember having any problems beating him in the teens as a sword and shield warrior in the mid-high teen levels. I was playing on Adept back then and he did have a monster fireball, but potions covered everything pretty smoothly.

well there is no way i wil lreroll since im 40 hours deep... and ive invested alot into destro... i wouldnt be able to also spec into conjuration??

also... if destro damage is such a joke wont they patch it??? or theyre just gonna piss off all the mage users that play their game??

They're working on a patch. Whether or not it balances the game remains to be seen. If you're playing on PC there is a mod out, however.

i see. well is dremora lord part of the perk tree or a learned spell?? i saw some dude wreck krosis on youtube with only his dremora lord.. i def. need that lol
