Dragon Realism

Alright, so here's my understanding of the Dragons at this point in time.

- They're very fluid in movement and how they' hunt you out. Perching atop ruins, mountains, etc.
- They can both speak (Some) English and often their own tongue when fighting.
- They do attack towns, dropping into the middle of the street and then charging after you.
- They're B.A., this is a given.

Now here's what I'm looking for some clarification on:

- Aside from perching atop ruins and mountains, will they drop down next to a lake or some water source and just start lapping up water? In a way making -them- vulnerable to attack if you sneak up behind them.
- And aside from hunting your character will they ever drop down into a city and attack guards and other npcs. Also to tag along with this, I guess, will they hunt on their own? I mean will you see them dropping out of the sky, beneath the treeline and see them rise back up with a deer or some other creature in their claws, possibly perching near by to devour these little morsels?

- Now, I'm aware that there aren't going to be any dragon mounts, but is it possible that there are going to be some dragon "outcasts" that stray from the rest and try to aid the player?

Little Scenario:

( You're strolling along, keeping vigilant through the forest when suddenly a dragon drops from the sky behind you. As you reach for your weapon you hear the dragon yell out, "Wait, wait! Stay your blade I wish to speak with you." Intrigued, yet still wary, you approach the dragon, lowering your weapon. The dragon asks your assistance in finding an artifact hidden deep within a cave that's too small for him to reach, in turn he will reward you by teaching you a new draconian word, or give you a weapon or item perhaps, or may even guarantee the safety of a town where you own a house. You accept and he procures a whistle by which you may call him once you return again from the cave or crypt.)

Of course, this is merely an idea that I can only hope is in, or will make it into, the final game or some kind of DLC thereafter.

And yet another small idea popped into my mind, now I know that there aren't any dragon mounts and my little hope for Neutral Dragon NPC Questgivers is a long-shot, but what if there were Dragons that aligned themselves with some kind of side-faction humanoids of baddies or good guys? Have to go into their base and take out their commander or the dragon guarding these people? Just a little thought, as I said.

You need to fix the poll so I can say 'nothing because I don't want dragon quest-givers' on the second question.

What do the poll choices have to do with "Dragon realism"? What is Dragon realism?

There needs to be a dragon lair with a pile of gold.

I don't want the dragons to be quest givers, maybe for a one off quest but I'm still sceptical as how it would work well.
Far be it for me to restrict your imagination. We will see 11.11.11.

Ok, forgive my little mess-up here. The Poll has nothing to do with the dragon realism essentially, but the post itself does for the most part.

I agree with everything here. Man, I can't wait until 11.11.11, it'll be cool!

Why do we always need to append polls with the poller's thoughts? I answered no, and with all due respect, I don't think being a quest giver is an interesting idea that wouldn't work well in implementation, I think it's a bad idea that wouldn't work well in implementation. Just offer "yes, no" or "don't care." Simple.

I think it'd be cool to find a dragon who isn't completely insane and bloodthirsty, maybe even one who decides to help you out. He could help you out with the Draconian language.

I read on a Gameinformer magazine that the shouts you get to do give you abilities (temporarily) like: a dragon aids you in battle.

I wouldn't mind if a dragon gave me a quest. Only if it had a posh, English accent.

And a bow tie.
