False, there was at least one battlemage in Elder Scrolls lore who rode on a dragon.

who the lich king!.but in all seriousness this is why I think the elder scoll has one of the best lores in video game history it so massive and expansive.I doubt that I'll ever know it all.

I don't see what's so appealing to ride dragons. If Beth had this feature I would give up on them. I dont see the point of it besides "Omg guiz! We can ried draG0ns liek a 1337 b@ttl3 w0ri0R"

It would seem this poll is a resounding NO.

You say that now, but soon everyone will be clamoring for their own copy of The Lascivious Dragon Housekeeper.

Really? I am not sure how the passage "my dragon companion" can be misinterpreted. And I remember it being a log or journal.

travelling companions are under no requirement to actually be friends, just to travel in one another's company.

Ask Falanu if that matters.

I'd much prefer to kill the dragons and take their souls.

I don't know how that can be any more clear.

"I will fight my way to the bowels of the Battlespire, where I will mount Dragonne Papre, my Dragon companion. From his lair, we will take flight."

"It is as I feared. A carcass is all I have come to find. They have sealed the main gate so Papre could not escape. I am not sorrowful though, for I will be eternally reunited with Dragonne Papre."

Anime hair is also popular for Oblivion, why not make DLC of that?

Forum opinions are in no way representative of the whole and represent a minority of the actual playerbase. That aside, I trust that the developers will do as they wish to make the game great. At this point in time they have said no, but should they change their mind somewhere down the line...for whatever reason, they would still be right to do so as it is obviously their game, and I trust that if dragon riding were in fact added to the game by the devs, it would be done right...like the dragons themselves.

(googles "mudcrab mount") OMG there is nothing on google or the nexus. (how hard can it be to put the horse script on a mudcrab? Or to make a horse using the mudcrab mesh?)

Oh god no. Skyrim is an Elder Scrolls game, not WoW. If you want a bunch of mounts and ultra unrealistic crap, go play that game. The Elder Scrolls has always felt like it had this small amount of gritty realism to it that makes each game a ton more immersive. Adding the ability to mount a dragon and fly off into the sunset like a big fairy would absolutely ruin that. I'm glad it won't be in the game, and I hope it's never added. Give me spears, halberds, crossbows, and thrown ranged weapons instead, please.

I've said this before and I'll say it again.

Us riding a dragon would be like a goblin riding a daedra lord.

They are equal if not superior to us in every way.

This seems to be severely lacking goblins riding spider daedras.

GIven that the dragons are incredibly hostile, and basically trying to help destroy the world..... I can't see flying on one of them.

(And that's ignoring the whole "closed city cells = they don't want you going over the walls" thing.)
