Dragon Shout from trailer

Post » Wed Jan 26, 2011 10:47 pm

So, first time watching the trailer, I almost screamed with joy, happiness, and other things, when the Dragon born Shouted out... It was nothing short of epic, and awesome. But it's been driving me INSANE, I can't understand what he said. To me it sounds like "Dos Kva- Da!" But I'm sure other people hear it differently. So try to explain what you hear when he Shouts. It's at about 1:06 in the trailer.
Skyrim is Game of the Year btw :P And its not even out.

I think it's Mu-Stra-Dah or Mo-Stra-Dah.

General opinion is that it's "Fus Ro Dah!", which is the Dragon Shout given in GameInformer, and appears to be a similar effect (massive wall of force).

Above poster has the general concensus. Fus Ro Dah, which is the push one. Pretty sure Fus Roh Dah means force balance push.

Wow, I was way off. Fus Ro Dah? Definitely wasn't hearing that. I could understand the Mu-Stra-Dah one.
Just listened to it again, and now it does sound like Fus Ro Dah lol. It's funny, because if you listen to a metal song with lots of screaming, and read mis-heard lyrics, it sounds like their saying pretty crazy stuff. Read the real lyrics, and it makes since. Which is pretty much what just happened to me here.

Whatever it sounded like, I only heard "HADOUKEN!" It looks embarrassingly ridiculous. I was expecting the guy to say "EXPECTO PATRONUM!" next.

Spoken spells just seems wrong in TES. I always knew Thu'um was going to look more hilarious than it seemed on paper.

they're not really spells tho, the dragon shouts (From what I understand) are from absorbing the dragons soul, and in order to use this power, you have to roar, AKA speak in the dragons tongue to summon the power.

I got a whole section on Dragon Shouts in my http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1161098-dragons-a-thread-to-discuss-all-things-about-skyrims-dragons/. All the info that's known so far and if I'm missing anything please post it and I'll add it. The thread is also meant to be a place to discuss anything and everything about Dragons in Skyrim. Their looks, their attacks, their voices, their history and lore, and yes even the dragon shout feature. We should continue this discussion over there. :)
