Dragon Shouts summoning the powah

Post » Thu Sep 29, 2011 1:46 pm

When I first saw the dragon shouts I thought they where just going to be extremely gimmicky things like a really good buff, or something else. Then After I saw the slow time, force push, call storm, I thought they where just going to be a way of getting the old schooled over powered spells in the game with out breaking it. Then I Saw this little gem

Summon A dragon for aid................................

If the game play, and the new engine where not enough to convince you to buy this game. Then this should be. You can summon a dragon to kill stuff for you what more do you need? Angry at a village? call a dragon. Refuse to pay the fine or serve your sentence? call a dragon. A especially annoying fan needs to die? call a dragon. Need your pizza delivered on time? then call a dragon.

I'm wondering how well this is going to work (or if wild dragons will appear at all) within towns (since they're separate cells).

yeah, I'm excited about that too. I bet it's going to be a special dragon shout that has to be unlocked by finding a neutral/friendly dragon first.

I agree. Would be kind of lame in my opinion if it just called some random dragon from nowhere. Would be more interesting if we actually have to meet and speak with said dragon, and they end up being our major contact with the dragons that oppose Alduin.

While I'm not sure if that's official; I do recall Todd mentioning it in some interview a while back. If it is true hopefully you will have some measure of control over what it attacks. Don't need to have a dragon roast a nearby town if you decided to teach a bandit a lesson.

Summoning a Dragon will probably be a Shout near the end of the MQ.

Summoning a Dragon... As much as I'm looking forward to that. I hope it has a ridiculously long cool down.

Keep in mind this is Bethesda we are talking about the same company that lets you go and pick up the strongest weapon in the game in the first hour if you want.

.............and in case anybody if wandering what I am referencing this is the case both in morrowind, and in fallout 3 the alien blaster, and Daedric armor in morrowind.

I hope it's THE endgame

i.e. don't call the dragon unless you want the world to end

would be amusing too

Dragons are my favorite fantasy creatures of all time, particularly wyverns. I'll try to befriend as many non-hostile dragons as possible in game.

I'm more excited for the elemental shouts. So far we know of a flame breath and an ice body shout so I'm assuming a shock related shout will be included as well.
