In the Dragonborn DLC when you progress enough, Miraak absorbs some of your dragon souls. When you kill him, you get dragon souls for every dragon you killed, even if he hasn't absorbed them.
How many did you get? My record is 17.

Months ago I killed the first dragon then went to Solsthiem and got through enough of the DLC to make Miraak steal souls then I went back to Skyrim and done the main quest. after Killing Miraak I got 32 souls.

I'll need to try killing as many dragons as I can before finishing this quest, because I have a mod that allows me to trade 2 dragon souls for a perk.

I think around 15.
