So, since the games announcment i have been obsessed with becoming the best smith Skyrim has ever known, low and behold today i had become it.. i could finally forge Dragon Armour (Legendary)... now i can run around with the soul of a dragon, the hide of a dragon, the voice of a dragon, and the weapons of a dra.. wait.. there are no Dragon weapons? What!?

So what do you guys think? Are pretty bummed that there arent any Dragon weapons? And what weapons do you think go nicely with Dragon armour (im looking for a strong weapon but one that goes with the armour regarding looks and appearence) Discuss away Joorre.

Possible DLC.

i certainly hope the Dragon Weapons DLC doesnt become the new Horse Armour meme... but if they come as part of a big expansion DLC then thats okay with me

I was pretty bumbed out also, but whatever just something else you gota deal wtih.

I would pay for horse armour dlc so my horses would stop dying every time they try to fight.

is doesnt have to be, Dragon Bone armour is made of bone AND Dragon Scales that are melted into a strong metal like property, thats what the metal bits are on the armour... so the hilt could be made of dragon bone and the blade could be made of molten Dragon Scales..

What the hell guys with this horse armour thing? Does anyone actually use horses in this game? They're slow as hell, even sabre cat catch up to me and attack me and my horse so I'm forced to jump off my horse and fight it. And there are enemies like every few minutes and in most cases you cant just escape because my horse has a lot lower stamina then my character, so I gotta jump off the horse every two minutes to fight of enemies. Should i mention if you fast travel then horse travels with you, and we all now there are high chances you'll encounter dragon after fast travel which will lead to possible death of your horse becuse he will charge into dragon.
I could go on, but I won't. The only thing the horse is good for is when you carry too much stuff and you can fast travel with a horse. Other then that it's useless.

I don't think your well attuned to TES community history.. when oblivion came out Bethesda released DLC called 'Horse Armour' it cost extremely cheap but it was like the most uselss piece of DLC ever.. it didnt actually add to your Horses health or anything.. so its become a sort of meme, example: "Dude, i hope they release mudcrabs as pets!" "That would be about as useful as Horse armour.. and probably cost more.."

Ah, that explains it. I'm new to Elder scrolls, never played previous games, so ... that was kinda WTF moment, when I saw comments about horse armor in every third thread.

Plus,if you think that way neither glass not silver would make good weapons.Silver is really soft,you know.You'd probably be able to bend a sword made of silver with your bare hands.

But I both like silver and glass and any other "nonsense" (some may call this nonsense,me,I call it fantasy) weapons,so I wish there were dragon weapons indeed.
No doubt about incoming dragon weapon mods though.

How do you know the scales are melted into the metal? And that the metal bits are made of it...

that's not a good sword - thats a friggin bone and some leather strips...

Yeah, I was kind of disappointed in the no dragon weapons thing, but not enough for it to cripple my enjoyment of the game at all. Horses, OTOH, they're useless as serial kicker said. IMO, that broken and useless, they should have been left out. Heck, I'd settle for leaving your horse in a copse of trees or somewhere else safe and whistling for it when you want it back. Getting it safe AND keeping it from "getting lost" would fix horses without the need for armor. Dogs, for that matter too, should have been left out for the same reason. They're dead as soon as you fight anything stronger than a wolf.

The Giants seem to wield a nice dragon 2 handed mace.

From practical point of view, you probably shouldnt be able to make dragon weapons since the dragon scales cant be melted.

well we shape them some how to make the armour, but even without im sure a fang or a claw or a spike would make a good dagger. dragon weapons yes please, preferably made from alduins pencsbone, thats were the magic is.

I dont mind horses, I do not fast travel anywhere. But I do wish I had more companions on the quests, 2 total plus maybe a pet would be nice...

Ive found the Nord Hero swords (not Ancient nord hero swords) go almost perfectly with it.. they look like the metal that the helmet and arm bands are made of... and their pretty strong (especcially when they have legendary status) so all is good for now ;D.. still would like to see dragon weapons anyway..

Hm. Judging from the requirements to make Dragonscale armor, I assumed the metal bits were dragon scales and a bit of iron.
