Hi. I installed Dragonborn and I am now in the Temple of Miraak Sanctum. When I am told to read the Black Book Waking Dreams there should be a cutscene where I go inside the book and meet Miraak. However when I read the book and try to take it nothing happens. I also have the latest update.

What I tried:

1. Cleared Cache

2. Reloaded a previous save

3. Started the expansion all over again.

4. re-installed the expansion.

5. Cleared out my saves.

6. Deleted Skyrim and re-installed it then re-installed Dragonborn.

7. Waited 30 in game days, started a side quest, then wandered around in a hold for 15 minutes.

Please help me fix this problem.

Do you have all three words of the "Bend Will" shout?

Wait. mark5917. You are telling me I need all three words for Bend Will and then when I pick up the first Black Book the cutscene will trigger? Odd I don't remember being told that in the game.

Do you have to be in the Temple of Miraak sanctum for Waking Dreams to transport you to the Final Battle in Apocrypha? I'll try clearing the cache, but otherwise, I've tried everything avifors done as well and I get to stare at the first page. I DID read it once before, but it didn't trigger the battle because I didn't have all three words of the Bend Will shout, however I do now, and I also have all the other black books.

EDIT:

Clearing cache didn't work, and neither did reading the book in the sanctum. Is there a patch for this glitch? A simple google search shows this is a pretty prevalent problem.
