Dragonborn DLC is now live. Report all bugs and glitches *HE

Post » Mon May 06, 2013 8:49 pm

There's a known bug with this quest on all versions of the DLC. You get the quest by hearing a conversation between Fanari Strong-Voice and Deor Woodcutter (the guy who gives you the quest). You must let them complete the conversation before talking to either one them. If you interrupt them, you cannot interact with Deor in any way, and you can't get the quest.

I beat the quest and attained severin manor, it's been a few days now but the dead bodies haven't disappeared yet. Not only that, but every-time I try to wait I am told "You can't wait while you are being ask to leave."

The runes (frost rune & lightning rune) inside Highpoint Tower were completely invisible... I had no warning.

Also, while in Highpoint Tower (and Fort Frostmoth, I think), I had some frame rate issues.
Felt a little sluggish the whole way through.

I've gotten a few more annoying glitches as I've been playing.

The health drain effect you experience within one of the Black Books continued after I had left and I had to go back in and out to get it to stop.

I was walking on water for the first time and used Whirlwind Sprint and the game went crazy. I started moving over the land uncontrollably at an incredible speed and it randomly stopped after a few minutes. I was very surprised I didn't get dropped from a great height and die from fall damage.

The screen randomly went black while riding around Skyrim on a dragon but things were still happening and I was able to pull up the menu.

During that one quest where

For folks seeing this, make sure that you are using Square to unlock the shout fro the menu. If you're still running into issues, let me know via PM.

Thanks

crossed wires!

Hello, in patch 1.7 i was never able to use the follower Onmund (A mage from the College of Winterhold) every time i told him to follow me it would corrupt my file making it unloadable...now with the 1.8 patch Oumund seems fixed but there is something still wrong with him...he has his wires crossed with Talvas Fathryon (A mage that works with Neloth) both NPCs chat options are fine...but when i start a conversation with Onmund he will say things like (Dragons! no match for a Telvanni Wizard, But what about a mere apprentice?) and (Sometimes being Master Neloth apprentice is, painful)...other then Onmunds dialog he seems to be working fine...but I'm not sure if i want to continue useing him as a follower.

This seems like a small bug and so far Onmund is the only NPC with this problem...i will post if it start effecting other NPCs or if it causes more problems.

Thank you for reading

I've come across my first noticible bug in the PS3 version of Dragonborn. Based on my experience with the PC Creation Kit, I think it may just be a simple pathing issue, but I'm not 100% sure. The blacksmith in Raven Rock is a very popular spot.. it seems that most of the female dunmer just stand around in front of his house/forge for the most part and do not walk away. I started noticing this with one NPC.. then two.. I waited a bit to see if they would disappear, but nope.. four were there when my wait timer finished! See pic below..

They do share the same voice actor, I believe. But it's still a bug nonetheless.

This was making it quite difficult to get from workbench to grindstone in time before my Blacksmith elixir wore off.

Maybe Glover is just popular with the ladies.

Hey guys, I have a question concerning a bug - post 1.8 - that also concerns spoilers for a major questline. Especially if you've started a fresh character since 1.8:

Spoiler

Please help me out with this! I genuinely want to experience these quests again, but I'm one of those that suffer from inventory/quest log OCD & I don't want that false stat to continue. Thanks!

My PC and NPCs' heads do not match up with their bodies; this is not the oft cited colour mismatch issue, it is a gap running around the neckline of some characters. I tried building several new characters and noticed the body size options were not as broad as with vanilla Skyrim. The body, arms and legs change in steps of 2 or 3 positions on the sliders while the heads grow, which means only some positions on the Weight slider have a joined head and neck. In addition, even those settings don't guarantee proper skin covering. For instance, a maximum weight Nord has a joined neck at the front but a gap at the back over his spine. Additionally, Jenassa now has a slightly mismatched head all the way around. In terms of immersion, this bug is pretty bad; everywhere I look has these pervasive reminders that my own head is only partly sealed to my body. Now if they had blood gushing out.. that would more than make up for the issue.

Playing on PS3 btw

Not really a problem, just weird and funny - I saw a miner at Kolbjorn Barrow during the 2nd or 3rd stage (when there are miners standing outside), he was a male Dunmer, with long hair and a beard, but had the stance of a female NPC (with arms close to his side and hands out).
Couldn't help but lmao.

Sometimes Ash Spawn would glow in a bright white color, instead of being gray. The Reluctant Steward quest marker doesn't work and points me towards the big mushroom in the middle of Tel Mithryn.

EDIT: Turns out Varona was somehow spawned inside the tree, and i had to Fus ro dah her out of there. Some sort of spawn glitch im guessing.

so far the only problem I have found is an issue with the path of knowledge quest, whenever I come near Neloth's mushroom everyone starts attacking me with no reason, even reloading to a save point before getting the quest doesnt change their behavior.

so now its impossible for me the complete the main line of quest, anybody got this problem?.

i was thinking in starting all over again the dlc, what do you think?
