Tried all of that, did not work BUT I reloaded an older saving and TPed straigth to Downstar. It worked fined over there. So problem solved....I thought it was a crap glitch like the Vampire thing from Oblivion.

For some reason I can't start the Path of Knowlege quest. I believe this is a game breaking glitch and I can't proceed any further.
I've tried everything but nothing works. I want this fixed so that I can continue the quest line and reset a perk tree.
I've gathered all the other books but didn't trigger the quest...
Please help and fix this glitch! I DO NOT want to start over.
I have a level 50 Nord Warrior who has a 100 in Smithing, One-Handed, Heavy Armor, Archery, Block, and Restoration!
I reached this level in 3 months. (Yes took me a long time because I have college!)
Either you fix it Bethesda or I will file a complaint.
Or if I missed something I would like someone to let me know if I missed something.

Still having this issue after re-installing the DLC and loading up a much earlier save with this character, so I don't think I'll try with any of my other characters.
