Your increased skill allows you to detect and pilfer items that you couldn't before.

There's no confirmed perks, people were just speculating.

That's why it's called a perk. A perk similar to this was in Fallout 3. Never used it, it sounded crap.

don't you think it would svck if you were playing a pure thief and when you leveled up your enemies stayed with the same amount of money? you wouldn't really be able to upgrade your gear. As far as the whole "logic" thing goes, where's the logic behind magic, argonians, khajiit, dragons, monsters, etc?

could be that you just arent able to see the better items until you get a higher skill the items are always there just maybe in a harder pocket say the front one.....Say a guy is carrying an expensive ring in his front pocket and a few coins and cheap stuff in his back with low pick pocket maybe you dont get a chance to swipe the ring only the coins.

so by simple logic... if i get better at putting my hand in peoples pocket, they fear for their items to be stolen and keep them in their pockets? or im just lucky it was paycheck day?
OR they all got richer for no apparent reason?

I think it would be pretty cool! But it would be good, if they made it one of the last perks you could unlock or something......i dunno:) lol

Lots of people even today like to keep hidden storage that most people would not find. It's safe to assume a master thief who has invested perks into pickpocketing should be able to pilfer such hidden away items.

It's a game mechanic, not real life. That's like saying that I can't play as a cat man because they aren't real.

Oh and if this is fake, then meh, my point stands. I think the one in Fallout was luck based, which means you had to have a certain amount of luck to take the perk. Being that there is no Luck in Skyrim, I dom't know.

Yeah that's right!

And another thing that really bugs me is how you can apparently shoot flames out of your palms! I mean, come one BGS! Really?

Seriously, it'll be a low level perk that probably wont even have a (very) noticable effect.

From a good source? Saw on a website? Saw in the game itself? If not, your claim has no validity to begin with.

Provide a link/screenshot/source other than "your mate on a forum" and we'll see where we go from there.

I saw a lot of hopeful posts that FT would be taxed, too, but Dear Deacon confirmed that it isn't.

 it's not that they are getting richer, it's that you are able to notice/detect more of what they have on them(or what you are able to sneak out of their pocket) and it's not a skill(they're called skills, not perks) it's what happens when you level up pickpocket.

It doesn't mean they are getting richer. What is supposed to be happening is that you can find more stuff on their person before they notice you. Like an amateur pickpocket might give it a shot and grab someone's phone, but if they were more experienced, they could also manage to grab their wallet, the pen in their pocket and some other things they had on their person.

Pretty much. Just like getting better at alchemy lets you recognize effects you couldn't before.

A thing not existing in real life does not make it illogical.

I'm pretty sure Pete said this yesterday on that radio show so it's not misinformation. He said you'll get better loot from pickpocketing from one of the perks.

And for those realism people... basically hey your finding the guys stash in his underwear, etc. You learn all the places people might stash stuff and are able to pilfer the better stuff without them noticing.

That assumes the beggars loot does increase. Could be that as skill increases there are just more random, rich NPCs about.
