Dragonborn Linage : V - Skyrim

You are not of the Septim Bloodline. Dragonborn doesn't neccesarily mean that you are a Septim.

You are born with the soul of a Dragon.

Why can't people seem to get this? Sorry if that sounded snide.

Ok well anyone who knows more about this then me (probably most) correct me if wrong

Alessiea enters the covenant wih akatosh and her getting the amulet as well as dragon BLOOD running through her veins as does any heir of hers I.E the septims.

now the dovahkiin hasn't got dragons blood but a dragon's SOUL two different things and seeing as the dovahkiin isnt related to the septims but merely chosen by the gods to the potential to stop alduin ending the current kalpa.

So: Septims = Dragon BLOOD = Can wear Amulet of Kings to keeps Dragonfires alight? Heirs of Alessia?
Dovahkiin = Dragon SOUL = Can absorb dragons' souls and shout? Chosen by Akatosh to have soul to fulfill Elder Scroll

its obvious martin septim is same as all othere priests he found him self a nice young girl in every village he preached
after all his father was a king while his mother was a tavern wench

how ever my dovahkiin will be seperate linage from septim as my character will not be imperial heritage

Dragonborns are only related as much as the reincarnations of Dalai Lamas. Less so, since, they don't necessarily have to have the soul of the same dragon.

That first GameInformer article that we got made it sound like being Dragonborn was hereditary (and that the Septims were just one of those bloodlines), and flat-out stated that it was the Septims' Dragonborn nature that allows them to wear the Amulet of Kings. Which also explains how they can wear the Amulet, in spite of having no relation to Allessia what so ever.

Which also explains how they can wear the Amulet, in spite of having no relation to Allessia what so ever.

in -LORE- its stated that the Septims can wear the Amulet because thats the pact. Alessia's Sister was a Septim and they are blood related, they are Hereditary and thats what allows them to wear the Amulet,each ruler dies and its soul goes into the Amulet. when you hear Dragonborn it IS symbolic for them because that is the nature of the Empire from the pact with Akatosh, Im not sure how many times this needs to be rrepeatedd, They don't Fus ro dah or have Dragon souls, Tiber was Shezzarine which is why he was so god awful strong he was several people at once he's special NOT because he has the soul of a Dragon, he didnt know Thu'um he learned it, made a college about it in the IC and was powerful enough BECUASE HE WAS SHEZZARINE to hear the Greybeards Talk, he also Achieved Chim and freaking changed the climate of the land.....

The lore is also from in-game sources, and thus is fallible.

Never read anything about Alessia's sister being a Septim, or her having any family at all, for that matter; got a source on that one?

Also, it's likely the emperors aren't fus ro dahing people simply because they didn't learn how, which even the Dragonborn need to do; it's not a common discipline outside of Skyrim.

And the college was in Markath Side, not the Imperial City.

a dragon born is born with the soul of a dragon, toget the soul of a dragon the gods must intervine when the soul is being recycled (i forget the name of the realm it is done in) for it to be placed in a human
