So... Dragonborns Voice...

Ok, so I was thinking, and I know this has probably been posted before, but if we're dragon shouting, does that mean that the player will have a voice?

In the gameplay trailer he shouts, rather obnoxiously in my opinion...
Then again, maybe that was supposed to be part of the "epic" feel for the trailer.

I Bet voice for the shouts but not for conversations. That would be imposibble. I Mean both six' and all 10 races for every single line in the game? :/

Are you forgetting that the player had a voice in Morrowind and Oblivion too?

For the most part, I am. But I mean, will the player occasionally say stuff? Like in cutscenes, maybe? I dont support this idea, Im just asking.

I highly doubt it. I imagine it'll be the same as in past games, grunts and groans and battle cries while in combat or from falling damage, and then the additional audio for each word of dragon shouts. I highly doubt we'll hear any English/Tamrielic words out of our protagonist.

I believe someone from BGS (Todd? Maybe the Sound Director Guy?) Confirmed that the Dragonshouts will be spoken, but I doubt anything past that. And that won't even be a big deal because they will put a bunch of effects on it to make it sound cool.

I would imagine it will be just like prior games in this department. The PC will have a voice but not really have dialogue. The only difference is the dragon shouts, which should be voiced. I think that's all the voicing the PC would get. But while we're on the subject of dragon shouts, I think it would be amazing if you could hear your voice echo under the proper circumstances.

Then the females have more powerful voices than males. More hysterical indeed, but more powerful as well.

There was some debate about this in the first place? Why do you think almost every male adventurer with a wife back home has a http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Silence spell? They would be to scared to go home without it.

It will be interesting to hear all the races, both male and female, use the dragon shout. I can't wait to hear and see the beast races.

Itll probably be exactly the same as in Oblivion, grunts, sounds and shouts for each race and six, but no conversational voice. The Elder Scrolls games never even really have cutscenes, which is amazing in my opinion, so a fully voiced character wont happen. Dragon Age 2 did it and well, its unanimous, that game wasnt as good as the original

I would like to see the Dragonborn with a voice. But, like most people, I only want it for Dragon Shouts and the occasional grunt or moan in combat or landing after a long fall.

In the audio video, they talked about this: They're choosing the most suitable voice from each of the races and recording them saying all the shouts.

But it will really annoyed me if I play as a character with annoying 'grunt' noises.

It has much more potential than just combat!

i think in Character Creation you can select a Voice for Dragonshouts Hopefully put your own voice in it and then they will tell the Dragon Shouts in your Voice

I hope my argonian sounds good when he's shouting, and not like the argonians in Oblivion that sounded like a strangled cat.
