Dragonplate vs Dadric armor

IMO, Dragonscale makes the difference. There's no light Daedric Armor.

Why does everyone keep bringing up weight? Isn't there a heavy armor perk that makes this a non-issue? A perk that makes heavy armor "weigh nothing?"

iirc you need to get the perk for unarmed combat to get that, so it effectively costs 2 perks (unless someone actually does bare fist fight :)).
Could also use one of the stones.
Either choice above has it's costs (2 perks spent elsewhere, or another blessing stone).

I think they should have had dragon bone wepons. The dadric and ebony are your only opton of high end wepons. I like dadric wepons. They need to add dragon bone wepons to give us a reason to go past dadric level 90

The only thing I don't like about Daedric weaponry is that the 1h swords are single-edged. As a matter of principle I prefer double-edge swords. They're usually longer and more versatile IRL.

EDIT: and yeah they should have added dragon weapons. It'd be totally plausible to make weaponry out of dragon bones if it's strong enough to make armour out of; the only concern being whether or not it can hold an edge.

Are you talkin' 'bout with or without a shield? Shields dont really count as part of the armour as they are optional to combat playstyles..

Since you are both debating on this can you please both post your screenshots? Doesnt it also depend on what perks you spend on and where you spend them, Im personally dont think I'll be using heavy armour given Im a mage based character relying mainly on archery and spells but Im am interested. Comon show me the money, talks cheap!

Thanks for the screen shots. I've been doing some reading and sadly theres not alot out there, the debate continues. I have read however that what you spend in heavy armour perks/light armour perks will affect how your armour comes out, as does your smithing skill, as does apparel with smithing bonuses. If someone came here and showed all stats on heavy armour perks maxed and smithing perks appropriately and made daedric legendary, then another person maxed out all light armour perks and smithing appropriately and made dragon plate legendary then we would have a true picture.

Edit: more confusion whats the difference between dragon plate, dragon bone and dragon scale? I was sure dragon bone was dragon plate, dragon scale is something entirely different, please correct me if Im wrong.

This is why theres a debate, this shows the dragonplate higher than daedric.

daedric armor is harder to get a hold of so its stronger. dragon bones and scales are easy to get. Also, the dragons aren't all that hard to beat. I think that people would be upset if daedric armor wasn't the bets. I dunno though, that is a speculation.

Just because its harder to get a hold of doesnt mean its going to be stronger in the end, theres alot more to it than that. Theres a continued debate about it as I pointed out in the links above.

I really don't know why this debate is still going on. The reason that Dragon smithing is 100 and Daedric is only 90 has nothing to do with which heavy armor is better. It has to do with the fact that the Dragon smithing perk allows you to make two sets of armor and the Daedric perk only allows for one. One of the suits of Dragon armor (Dragon Scale) is the best light armor in the game.

Although, to be fair Daedric smithing also provides you with a slew of new weapons to craft...

The debates still going because people are claiming one is higher than another with evidence on both sides after smithing, I guess people just want to know whats the ultimate armour to wear.

scale for an axe head, leg bone for a mace.. swords are iffy, but dragon headed arrows can be done. not sure on dragon bow unless you use the rib.

Daedric Base Armor is better than Dragonbone at 100 Smithing, daedric will always be better because it has higher base armor its simple.

I just did this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQajh9om4hI

Put all my skills to 100, removed all gear that could affect base skills and perks, took no potions, gave myself all mats. So started with everything maxed on for both armours, got Daedric Legendary 769 and DragonPlate Legendary 735. Just wanted to end debate that was going on here and elsewhere. I undersand your theory on base armour Saskia and I know that was not your original question but your screens would not have held weight unless both were created with base levels that couldnt be debated, thought this was a simple way to end future arguements on the topic.
