Dragonplate

For those of you that this will be relevant too, do you use Dragonplate even though Daedric is better (except in weight)? At first I didn't but now I do, mostly because Daedric makes things too easy at my level, even on master, I also use 2 Skyforge steel swords, I prefer their look with Dragonplate more than the Daedric swords, The difference is very minimal between the two anyway.

It turns out that the actual statistical differences between material types is almost irrelevant considering how much you can improve them even with minor skills in smithing/alchemy

Yep I don't remember the exact numbers but I made a piece of dwarven chest armor and it was like 550 armor while my daedric was like 565 or something (both made with same smithing skill). The difference was minuscule. Just wear whatever armor you like the look of.

I use Dragonplate and make sets for all my companions to roleplay a dragon-slaying militia. The stat difference is not a factor.

Kinda regret putting the point into dragon smithing, and for that matter into daedric; once I read about the armor cap I made ebony sets for myself and my follower, and using ebony weapons because they are only 1-2 points off the daedric and look a whole lot better!

I use Daedric because it looks so much better. It also suits my character a lot more. I won't be putting the point into dragon armour at all.

Dragonplate looks worse and is statistically worse than Daedric, so no.

I use Dragonplate and my armor rating is 601.

In short, for me Daedric is inferior as it offers no more protection and is only heavier.

This is why Dragonplate is above Daedric, with heavy armor perks it is the superior armor.

I look awesome in Daedric so I wear it. I look like a [censored] in dragonplate so I don't wear it.
