Dragons and casualties, consequences of your actions

Post » Sun Mar 17, 2013 2:05 am

I was traveling from Falkreath to Markarth on foot while I was getting real close to Markarth a dragon came over the mountains to eat me. I ran (Level 7 and yet to learn more powerful spells than basic spells) so when I get over the bridge, a camp of khajiits, guards and mine workers was flocking around to kill this dragon and I tried to heal them up, give them courage while I tried to burn the dragon some, kill it.
And in the end, the dragon died but because I chose to run over the bridge, someone died.
Dragon killed poor Pavo Attius.

So do you remember, even know who has died because a dragon was following you first?
And after, what do you do with their bodies? Do you give them a proper burrial (throwing them into the lake so their soul may forever be at peace in the sea?) Or what do you do.

I usually punch their dead bodies. For getting in the dragons way. Or light them on fire.

In all seriousness, I usually make damn sure no one is in the way of a dragon while I attempt to fight it (other than guards, bandits, etc.).

I really haven't had anything exciting or dramatic happen due to attacking dragons; normally me + the guards (with the sacrifice of one or two) is enough to put one down.

The only time I had any kind of a dramatic death was when vampires attacked Whiterun and killed Adrianne, with her own ashes piled up right in front of her door.

The timing of dragon attacks is somewhat predictable, so in the past I'd fast travel between some isolated locations until it showed up. After the fight (or flight) I'd traipse off to the real destination.

Now I use a mod that has (most) NPCs run and hide.

What is the fun in that?
Might as well have a mod that makes you not possible to kill while you at it! :D

Not entirely. The mod actually makes sense. If you were just an average citizen, and a huge freaking dragon attacked, would you try to fight it? Unless you are foolish, no. You'd hide.

Don't need a mod - one of the PC console commands enables God Mode :hehe:

This. ^

Having low level NPCS attacking dragons and vampires doesn't really make much any sense.
